I noticed my plant was starting to develop a calmag def. And nitrogen def. So I added a small amount of calmag to water. Then added two drops of fox farm grow big with an npk of 6-4-4 to the water then added my regular dose of tiger bloom that has an npk of 2-8-4. Was this a smart move to help her with the low nitrogen tiger bloom has?

have you checked the Ph of your soil ? could be a lockout causing the deficiency. you shooting for 6.8 for soil a lil over or under is generally fine

if it is a PH lockout problem and your soil PH is a bit low then get some dolomite lime or garden lime and transplant the plant into a bigger container (if you can) after you ammend the new soil with the lime, this should fix the issue. i try and add a little lime to all my soil before planting as it helps keep the soil buffered to around 7.0 which seems to work well for me.

anyways gl man, cheap soil test kit is like 4 bucks or you can bring it to a local lawn and garden store and they will do it either free or really cheap.

right on, well you can rule that out (always the first thing i ask because you can burn the plants if its a lockout and your adding more shit)

sounds like you did the right thing then man, hard to really say i guess time will tell, if that dosent work a good flush and a good all purpose fert will always help, something that has a N-P-K all the same % (3-3-3)

usually most fertilizers have cal/mag in them and alot of time cal/mag deficiency is lockout and not actually a deficieny, but where you are having a N deficiency thats tough to lockout as Mj absorbs N from PH 6.0-7.0 its tough to lock it out unless your soil PH is way off. cal/mag on the other hand locks out @ 6.5 and lower, which this chart im looking at is saying ideal PH is 6.5 not 6.8 but even at 6.9 you shouldnt be locking out any of the 3

Ya, I decided that it was just not enough calmag and nitrogen, cause FFOF has nutes till 30 days ...way passed that. And the fert I'm using has low nitrogen. I use distilled water my whole grow and I heard it lacks in minerals. Just my best assumption cause im no plant expert but you gotta make a decision to help your plants. So I did. :weed: thanx rep, only time will tell now.

yeah, i always use tap water and have no problems, if your looking for a N boost and i know it sounds gross but a couple of tblspoons of fresh urine in a gal of water will give them N if you dont have any other means to get it to them. I havent done much research on it but if its a route you want to go its a good start for you to look up.

Ya, most of the time I check it its just under 6.9
