Hi everyone!

I have grown in soil up til recently and i am getting ready to do my very first hydro grow:weed:. I have still got a large amount of HESI soil nutrients (which i have used in the past with great success with soil), and i was wondering whether i would run into any problems using this with a hydro system?

happy smoking!

i wouldnt see why you would but ive heard that using dirt nutes on a hydro system might clog your system up (water lines, air pump lines, etc)... but im no pro bro

Go with nutrients intended for water growing. There's plenty of really great nutrients out there.

Personally, I use the Botanicare line. Pure Blend Pro Grow & Bloom with CalMag (needed with RO water), Liquid Karma, Sweet, Silica Blast and HydroGuard. The results are amazing.

If ya must use a soil nute for hydro, in a pinch ya can use miracle grow patio with 1/2 tsp of epsome salt and1 tsp of calcium nitrate, from ya local hardware or feed store, per gallon. Start with 1/4 the recomended dosage per gallon of the miracle grow, then if all looks well, up to 1/2 the recomended dose, and so on, i wouldnt go over 1/2 ta 2/3. This is a really good veg mix, and its proven to work for hydro. Ya can use the same mixture for flowering, just go to a higher phosphors, magnesium blend. Also wouldnt be a bad idea to use a good micro nutrent suppliment, good luck and happy growing.:weed:
