nutrient question

I was reading the Marijuana growers handbook by Ed Rosenthal. It has a nutient/water solution in ppm.

Germ 325 ppm

fast growth 530 ppm

pre flower 350 ppm

flower 275 ppm

To me the pre flower and flower seems really low. I thought you were suppose to be anywhere from 800 - 1500 plus ? I know these are guidelines and every strain is different. Has anyone flowered with that low of a ppm?

I got a 4x6 table under one 1000 watt on a light rail, with fans, 68-74 air temps, 45-55 humid, 5.8 ph and 680 ppm. I started at 630 ppm but it seems to raise after every flood.

My plants are growing slow, some a little twisted or curling, pale green color and some have yellow spots. Am I over fertilizing them? I use organic liquid nutrients. The Pure Blend Pro series from Botanicare. I would greatly appreciate any help.

yes if your ppm is rising i believe you have too much nutes in them. is the water evaporating? how many times a day are you flooding? have you calibrated your meter?

Meter is fine. PPM was rising. I just did a flush with clearex. Ima going to refill my reservoir and start at 400 ppm and work my way up from there. I noticed my ph is always on the rise. I think it's my rockwool. . . . My reservoir in chedoes not have a li and there is a dehumidifier in my room to keep the hunmidity in check. Is that gonna cause a problem? It may be evaporating. . . . .

i dont use a lid. try to keep it out of direct light tho. you want to find the point where your ppms are falling a little bit each time you check. that will give you a good ppm level. but if your water is evaporating it will rise also.

you should drain your dehumidifier into your resevoir

If you tried it and it works then I trust you. I saw a forum a while back and some people said this and that which made me skeptical.

i started with 4x6 table and 1 light (1000w) on a rail. 2 (1000's) will definitely push your harvest up significantly. i got the add a light for my light mover. i love the botanicare stuff. are you filtering the water? you should def look into hygrozyme and beneficial enzymes.

I use r.o. water that is usually 10-20 ppm withnthe whole botanicare pureblend pro plan and I also use humboldt county's bushmaster, gravity, and purple max. I also use a silica ph up to benefit my roots and i add hydrogen peroxide. I am thinking of getting rid of the whol table idea and going with fewer bigger plants in dwc buckets. I think I would yield a lot more in the same space. I am liking how my dwc mother is growing right now compared to my ebb and flow buddies. . . . .
