Nutrient help!

- Fox farm ocean forest soil

- Fox farm soil nutrient trio (BB GB TB)

- 3 weeks old, only used water so far

- They look good, I've been told so by different sources

On the start of 4th week I was going to give them a mild dose of nutrients to start them off, (keeping in mind the fox farm feeding schedule) 6 tsp of Big bloom added to a gallon of distilled water.

Is this to much nutrients for the first time or to little of a dose ???

Anyone please help!!

i wouldnt start them off at full strength to what the feeding chart says, if this is your first time feeding them something maybe do half strength..or less if you feel, its up to you, the plants will tell you if they need more

How would i know if they need more nutrients, like whats a specific sign? I know if i give them to much they'll get nute burn, but idk whats the sign if they don't have enough?

Ok at the END of week four take the recommended full nutrient dosage and cut it down to only 1/4 strength. Add that to your water, shake well and water in. Then observe the plant closely every day that you are waiting for things to get nice and dried up. Does she look healty, green, no nutrient burn? Next watering should be plain water no nutrients. Observe again, still dont see signs of nutrient burn? Sometimes it takes a minute. If no issues add the same 1/4 strength nutrients to next watering. If your plants handle a couple 1/4 strength doses with a plain watering or two inbetween each nutrient watering, you should be ready to try 1/2 strength and observe again. Things you should look for are healthy green leaves, not drooping over, leaves reaching upwards that are springy or perky looking. Very little browning, spotting, or yellowing of leaves. If she stays green she is handling the nutrients well.

I use this formula. Nutrient water, plain water, plain water, repeat nutrient water. Follow this two times with 1/4 strength and its probably time to move up to 1/2. Does that make sense?
