I'm considering upgrading to one of these systems and I'm frustrated by how little google answers my questions on nutrient levels and how to top-up or replace the water/nutrient solution.
If you were at week 1 of 12/12 and added 800-900 ppm of your nutrients to the water for the first time, how and when do you decide to add more nutrients to the solution or change the solution completely?
Do you add drops of nutrients every few days to maintain 800-900 ppm?
Do you allow it to fall and replace the solution every week or two, regardless of how low ppm gets?
Is it a combination of both? Are any established guidelines for this?
Does ppm have to be a static figure every week or so, or is it merely the starting figure between water changes?
