nutrient burn? Overwater? Underwater?

2 weeks ago I was on this forum asking and pleading for help when my baby started drooping heavily and its leaves started yellowing with copper colored spots as well. I really thought I had over fertilized them to the point that I had filled a 30 gallon container with tap water and letting it sit out for 48 hours; in order to begin a Flush.

But as I did more research, the idea that I was actually under watering and under fertilizing her came to mind. I WAS only watering her once a week along with her nutrient mix. With her being in a 10 gallon Fabric pot, that was exactly the case. She was just thirsty. A LOT! And also wanting more Nitrogen.

So I upped my nutrient mix to 1.5 gallons a week and fed her 2 liters of R.O water every other day. Also, I was setting my pH at 6.5 before last week but then dropped down to 6.0 -6.1. I really think it made an improvement. Look at her now.

She’s in week 6 of Veg, last week. I did 6 weeks instead of 4 due to the fact that I placed her in a 10 gallon pot (newbie mistake). So I wanted to get the most out of all the soil she’s sitting in.
So I guess this is a classic example of what newbies got through when trying to figure out why their plants a drooping and yellowing. Hope this helps out all the newbies out there like myself. And big thanks to all of you professional tokers, rollers, and growers for all the help these past 6 months.

Also; I did do some pruning when I cut some clones off, however, she’s looking mighty bushy to me. She has 11 nodes and is 22 inches tall. I think she’s in need of some more pruning, but don’t know how much to cut. Don’t want to torture her and cause too much stress. I feel like i need to cut off some more lower branches since they are not getting enough light down there and they are stealing energy from the top. Should i cut off lower branches but keep the fan leaves? I will be switching to Flower mode next Saturday.

On another note, here is a pic of my other baby. She is the same age as the one above; however, she is half her size due to some dumb ass newbie mistakes I made in the beginning i.e. over-watered seedling, ripped roots during transplant, heat stress. But she looks like she is holding up very well.

2 weeks ago I topped her. I did the quick pinch method with my fingers. Looks like I waited for the perfect time and I think I will be getting 4 colas.

Also, i do have springtails in both of these pots. I believe since i am using all organic material, Roots Organics Soil 707, and their 5ml Master Feeding Schedule mix, that they sprung up from all organic compost going on in there. I read that they are harmless and sometimes beneficial and other times i read that they are harmful to roots and are the cause of my tips curling. What do you guys think?

Well, that should be it on my update. Keep ya'll posted next week when i get my Quantum t5 bad boy in order to keep my smaller pot and clones in veg mode. I plan on getting a divider to block off light for my flowering side. keep you guys posted.

throughout her lifetime, i tried to get as close to 6.5. maybe 6.4-6.6 there. Now i'm setting it at 6.0-6.2. my pH up and down is very concentrated so i always spend like 10-15 minutes trying to get that perfect balance.

hahahahaha i hear you buddy i was just doing a feed and it took me like 5 trys to get it at 5.8 for a plant in coco , and they look good have you transplanted them atall ? im not sure why there drooping cant see a def or anything :S

Yeah, it can get pretty annoying. But it's much easier when I have my nutes mixed in the water. Adjusting the pH with pure water can be a pain in the ass.

diluting some in water before adding it to the primary water will make things easier. i do this when adding pro-tekt, which i use for ph up. it makes the changing of the ph more gradual/easier...
