Nute solution changeout

ask 10 people, get 9 different answers. i do individual 5 gallon buckets and i change out every 2 weeks. maybe go a little longer in early veg and late flower

How often should you change out your nutes in a RDWC setup 15 gal res.

most folk will change it every 2 weeks or so
so you do not need to do it more frequently than that

personally i very rarely change it, i tend to grow larger plants the res is constantly topped up with water, nutes added when the ec drops a few points

find what works for you and repeat :)

the first week i add back only ph'd water. i re-adjust the ph and ec back to baseline at the beginning of the second week then just ph'd water til change out

i like to do as little as possible so if i can leave something out and it still works ill do that
i found that i do not need to ph them after the initial setup, i do add a little ph down when i start them off
as the ec is low at this point, i just try to keep them on the acidic side, the nutes are acidic so this is enough to do that

i know not everyone can do this with the ph and need to keep a tighter control on it (if they do not have good tap water)
i have a general idea what the ph is, i control it more by knowing what it should be at given ec ranges
but it must fluctuate between 5.5 and 6.5 and it works fine

I drain my rezs 100 percent, spray them down along with flood trays while draining every 7 days to keep it clean. I don't like guessing what the ppms of my water consist of. I like to know.
