nute problems

This is my first dwc grow I don't think my plant is taking up the nutes as it drinks and the water levels drop in my resivor my ppm go way up I am using gh 3 part series any thoughts and help greatly appreciated

I use gh nutes as well. The thing with using it is I always use less than what they say because they always want you to use more so that you buy more and you risk giving your plants nutrient burn.

If plant takes more water than nutes and ppm goes up you are starting with ppm too high.
