Some of the fan leaves around my main cola have been getting yellow spots on them and then in the last couple days the yellow spots have turned to brown spots and the tips of the leaves seem to be dying.

The first picture is one day earlier than the second picture to show the progression.

I flushed this morning and started adding a little Epsom Salt to the water a couple days ago thinking it might be a mg def. Also, it's definitely not spider mites.

Ok, I've been foliar feeding with Epsom Salt the past few days, as well as adding a little to my water mix and it still is getting worse. My Ph is 6.8ish, so I don't think it's a Ph problem, maybe I need to up the dosage of Epsom Salt

Also, I would hit them with some H2O2 spray...maybe with the epsom salt, mixed together...

Try getting a 32 oz spray bottle...

Add about 3mls of H2O2 and about 1/2 tsp epsom salt to some RO water. Spray, if they dry and you have time to hit them again, do it. Just dont let them go to bed wet.

i've been using about 1/2 tablespoon per plant, but I've only watered them twice since the problem has started at the beginning of the week. So, really only 1 tablespoon per plant not including the foliar spray I started last night

Always make your mixes to the set amounts of water...not just by plant. I dont know if you keep grow records, but it has helped me a lot.

1/2 Tbsp could be WAY too high, increase salinity too much, and exacerbate the problem. No more watering (with the epsom salt), stick to the foliar, spray it religiously until you see them make a comeback.

okay, i hadn't thought to use hydrogen peroxide to spray, i'll give it a shot. when should i spray them?

You should start spraying them as soon as the lights come on, if they dry out spray again and again and again....just dont let them go to bed wet.

i'll start a log as well, that's an excellent idea. this is my first grow so I'm still learning! god damn magnesium's got me down though :P

thanks for the help man

No problem. Your log should be a notebook by your grow area! Not on the internet! Way more useful.

BTW, I use the cheap grocery store peroxide...you can use other kinds if you want but it's not really necessary.

Be careful with your measurements! Good luck, bro!

No. Peroxide is pretty harmless when mixed correctly. And when in doubt always test the heat of the light at the top of the plants with the back of your hand to see if it is too hot...if it feels fine you should be good to go.
