Ok so had a disagreement with a person I been dealing with for a while, long story short he slashed one of my tires on my car I have him on camera on the housing developments security camera, just wondering if I wanted to persue legal action what would happen to him ? Mistometer with a fine maybe have to pay for a new tire ? Personally I like to give my own justice but this persons such a shit I'm thinking about the legal rout or maybe even both legal and personal justice

There is no situation that cannot become infinitely worse by involving the police.

That all comes down to your state really and how they decide to go about it and whatever else they can get out of it charge wise.
Chances are they'd pop em with vandalism and or destruction of property. They'd get a suspended sentence with probation + ordered to pay the costs of a new tire + any other costs tied to it. So a bunch of bullshit basically and nothing big.
In the time being you'll probably have to go to a court date or 3 and sit around for however long it takes in there.
So not worth the cost of a tire at that point.
You mentioned the fact that you had dealings with him. Yeah he did pull some bullshit on you. Since your on here I assume you're the supplier and not the customer. So there's also that to think about. It doesn't matter who your are in the situation. Involving the police in any form in our business is bad for business. At the end of the day you're going to be that guy that went to the police according to him and everyone he talks to.

Haha I wouldn't actually do it, I don't think.

But I've had someone come back at 2 am and slash 2 brand new tires on my truck.
My fiat thought was in gonna born the mother fuckers house down.. scoped it out and everything..
Almost 500$ in damage just cause my roommate at the time (a lady- a crazy bitch, actually) ran him out of our party the night before with a 12 gauge pointed to his dome..
It didn't even have shells in it..
but dude sure thought it did.
I think he was embarrassed..
