Not sure about these autoflowers

Got a free autoflower seed in a purchase of regular seeds. Decided I would try it. I'm not sure what to think. I'm thinking an oz maybe? Not sure it it's worth it.

I just planted 2 auto flowers and I planted them for quick and concealed grow most auto flowers yield are low I hear I would anticipate 4oz wet, half to 1.5 oz dry imo since plants almost 70 percent water?

how longs the grow cycle seed to finish? cfls?

This one is day 55. I think it will be done about day 65. Trichs are cloudy now.
 
Some of the autos are not the greatest yeilders. Even within the same strain. I have grown a few that came out like yours. Then using a bean from the same lot I've had double the yield using the same growing methods.

I am sure there are auto strains out their bred to produce yield and are more stable in that trait. I am pretty satisfied with any decent yield since I grow for personal only. As long as I get good smoke.

I think autos are best suited for micro growers who just wanna get some good smoke and not have to deal with the issues that photos often require. Not necessarily commercial.

Personally. I think that's a decent looking plant for an auto. If it's not what you were expecting. Autos may not be your thing. That's cool too. Different strokes, different folks.

yea let me finish up maybe to day 70 make sure you get ur grams worth g.l and good job on your grow man. impressive some people forget that not everyone does this successfully. you should be very happy with yourself
 
I would give it some dark time before chopping it. 3-5 days. It's helps with the tric from what I here. Did you flush it yet

I wouldn't waste my time on a auto for mirco grow. If anything I thing they shine in long springs and summers where you don't have spent any money on power and can get many harvests... Makes my made that I stay on the bottom floor.

Yep autos are different. Still my fav even after trying a couple of popular photos. Difference is, with photo a micro grower, or at least me wants speed and quality. So, you veg a photo for only 2-3 weeks, it takes 2 weeks for pistils, then a fast flowering Photo like DNA lemon skunk needs 56 days to flower. That's twelve weeks right there and you get maybe a couple of Oz. I've gotten 4 oz off of an auto in exactly 56 days from the day the stem popped out of the cube. Standard is about 2 oz. So, of course autos aren't for everyone, but if you just growing a plant or 2, love speed and don't need a mega ton to smoke. They are perfect.

With the right strain, I believe I could come close to matching the yield of a commercial photo grower with autos in the same amount of time. I.E. 6 months. A photo could pull off 2 cycles, an auto guy 3. The photos may produce more, but my experience, not that much more.

Who knows though. If I could find me some real fire photo seeds, like Top shelf on taste and THC levels, I would def do another photo. Meanwhile, autos, Hempy, lucas formula, it's just so carefree and easy. No worries at all.

But, my goodness there are so many different strains to try.

Another reason I like autos. Get er done, move onto something different.

Now I did grow a Dinafem Critical Jack auto that I was disappointed in. I mean the smoke was BOMB! But, it only grew like 14-16 inches tall and was just one cola. No off branches. I got bout an O.

You got some time on yours. Let's hope that puppy does a little more fattening up in the end.

Good points for sure. Thank you. And it is fattening up. I'm looking at next weeken at day 66
 
you just really have to be dialed in ...... from my experience with them over the last 5 + years 3 gal of soil less under a 400w hps ( fresh bulb ) 10 weeks seed to chop = 2-4 oz but 6 plants can be happy under 400w with a few side lights ...... i would really give it 9-10 weeks auto's are tricky if youre going by the trichs and it really fattens / denses up the last few weeks
 
2-4 zips? I guess these sour 60 were old autos. It seems most new auto strains do great so why do people hype up the sour.... Is it for flavor,high or size/yield...I hear they can get some height on them. I'm at 3 weeks and I'm hitting 17 inches. I would love to get 2 oz. from each one. Will I be able to under a 400 hps

you should be able to pull it from the sour's too ........ just goes back to the being dialed in comment ....... cant over water , over feed , humidity , and need good lighting from start to finish .......... i can pull numbers like that from world of seed's afghan kush ryder and that is far from a " new " auto IMO
