Not perlite.. heat?

um.. huh? you worried about the leaves curling in? are you giving it nutes or over watering it?

i am giving it nutes, 2/3 dose of big bloom, full dose of grow big. When we added perlite we watered with nutes and 16oz of water. The plan is to water twice a week but I'm not sure if it'll be dry enough by then.. Idk if i should add more perlite or what..

Perlite is added to ur growing medium. What were u trying to fix with it??

Try not to have a watering schedule. Let the soil tell you when to water.

This looks like a heat issue to me.

I added perlite so water would saturate in my soil for excessive periods of time and create root rot. I added it so I could water more than once every 9 days.

you have to do something about those temps she will eventually work herself to death basically she is using more energy than she can produce.
anything above 85 degrees Fahrenheit and growth begins to slow to a stop and definitely hold off on the nutes, Fox Farm Ocean Forest (i'm assuming that's your soil) will support your plant for about 30 days before she will need to be fed.

Here is an article i found about it

hmm... ill add more air circulation since the apartment is always kept with a/c on.
with all do respect I'm not gonna read all that info. I'm more of a trial and error kind of guy. thanks though.
since I'm not getting any discoloration from the nutes, why wouldn't it be find to use.. seems like the plant is taking it fine. I'm going to do something about the temps as a first step.

keep the door/flap open at all times. you need to find some way to get some COOL air in there.....air circulation is good and all that...but if you are circulating HOT air than it is quite useless. good luck man

lol theres a air vent right on top of the closet.. i kind of want to punch a hole in the closet ceiling and then a hold in the a/c duct. then just run a hose down... don't think the gf would be too thrilled though

I'm not sure if that's foil or mylar but if its foil than you need to remove it, foil will raise your temps. also when you water always water the entire pot evenly so that there are no dry patches and allow a little run off. when you want to know when to water again just do a weight test if it feels fairly light in weight than water it.
The reason to cut back on the nutes is because your plant needs all factors of growth working together evenly(water,C02,temps,nutrients,etc.) to produce its maximum growth potential the plant will only take what it needs when it comes to nutrition EXAMPLE if you increase only one factor essentially will not produce better results all factors of growth must come into consideration for max yields and potency which is the common goal for all of us. I highly recommend reading the article to get a better understanding on the process

LESS IS MORE AND KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!

1- you dont need that much light for a plant that young in veg and can kick off 1-2 lights
2- feeding it any nutes while sitting in ffof that young is a HUGE mistake
3- temps above 85 hinder growth and cause stress
4- slow down..... things have a way of working themselves out... we are the biggest threat to the growth to weed plants.... you dont need the sun in your room or it bathing in a milkshake

1. 2 of the lights have been removed
2. thanks, ill hold off till she goes through puberty
3. gonna leave the door open, will prob take off the foil
4. imma turtle

will the foil really raise temps that much? and when she gets bigger ill be transplanting into more FFOF soil but in a 5 gal.. so should i just never use nutes? i find that hard to believe. I was just following the FF feeding chart but starting with smaller doses.

yes it will raise the temperature.paint the walls white or get some black and white poly they sell it for about 10$ 10x25 ft those feeding charts are based on farming the company has study it on farming techniques its not specific to our plant and there environment theres a long article about it in one of these threads but trust me when I say less is more she will start to show when she wants nutrients better to underfeed than to overfeed learn to read your plant

yeah.....just think of it like this.....that foil is turning your plant into a baked potato right now....TAKE IT OFF!! lol
