Norway is most certainly not a shithole, you ever been there? It's expensive but it's one of the most beautiful and most friendly places in the world.
i was just making a point and no, I've never been to Norway. it looks awesome though and I'm sure the people are awesome and in their own slice of oil and gas funded heaven. keeping 25% of what you earn isn't very appealing to me, so I wouldn't want to actually live there but visiting would be super fun. when I'm done exploring the us I will put it on my bucket list for sure!

Seriously, where do you get your stats from?

https://www.inc.com/magazine/20110201/comparing-tax-rates-in-the-us-and-norway.html

The difference between Norway and Mass is about 9.9%

And they get a FUCKLOAD more for that 9%

A real immigration system doesn't exist.

Id vote amnesty for those that are already here and then enforce strong immigration laws that actually allow people to come here.

The two positions are not mutually exclusive.
so some new federal inmate stats came out...did you see?

“According to statistics from the U.S. Sentencing Commission, non-citizens are actually far more likely to commit serious crimes than Americans are."

“Non-citizens account for 22 percent, more than a fifth of all federal murder convictions.”

“18 percent of fraud convictions.”

“33 percent of money laundering convictions."

“29 percent of drug trafficking convictions and 72 percent of convictions for drug possession.”

“Meanwhile, the non-citizen percentage of the American people? About 7 percent.”

amnistey for all you say?

and dude those are just federal stats.

well you missed the main point but at least you are comparing state to state now, progress. I could be wrong, that did happen once. I will check a source as I did pull that particular from memory.

and you did say everything is expensive, don't forget to factor that bit in.

I like their magna Carta. when the shithole comment happened, I said a country could be a shithole regardless of race. the usual suspects were saying obviously those countries were shitholes because of race. I said Norway was a shithole.

since your side made it racial, I asked and still ask: why can't you come up with any models that aren't 92% white, as in this UK example you threw up here?
tldr; go make me a sammich

Not for all, why do you always jump to extremes to try get one over on people?

Its not helpful to further the conversation whatsoever. That's what we're having now, a conversation, see how productive it's being?

I'm not implying we 100% emulate those countries, but we should take the stuff that works and reject what doesnt.

sorry, you said for those already here. those in prison are here, no? i don't consider that "exreme" to be literal.
so what are your discriminatory parameters?

No serious felonies.

Stupid shit like drug charges or whatever should be ignored.

Would you find these terms agreeable?

And never take people literally unless they say literally, and even nowadays that's questionable most of the time ;)

Purely out of interest, do you think it's preferable to pay lets say 9% more in taxes to receive free college and medical care?

Because I assume you're aware we actually pay more of a % of our income than Norweigans for example for the two aforementioned services and outcomes are the same if not slightly worse than Norway?

But would you agree that the ones that do should be excluded from whatever "path to citizenship" we EVENTUALLY enact?
don't really care. just wanted to correct the alternate reality that twopump the racist and closeted homosexual tried to posit.

I don't think he's honestly racist, I think he just tries to troll/trigger the more sensitive liberals here.

When presented with statistics he seems to accept fact, when he's not trolling hard that is.

Is it not more productive to try reopen dialogue with the Repubs than it being a constant flame war that goes nowhere?

none of that is even remotely true.

he said civil rights were "not a good idea" because ti would just make racist white "hate em more now".

he claimed CHIP was funded.

no one likes him. he does not smoke or grow. he is here simply to spam us with white supremacist spam. he should be banned for spam. and mental retardation.
