Northern Storm Auto - MSNL Genetics

About 3.5 weeks into Northern Storm grow. (Auto version of Northern Lights) Popped the seed in damp kitchen cloth, sprouted into Jiffy pellet and potted up when first leaves appeared. Potting soil 70% standard potting compost and 30% perlite.

Here she is about a week old.



Put under 20/4 150w led grow light (UFO) for the first 2.5 weeks and then into flowering cupboard with my Thai Stick on 12/12 under 600w led and 150w UFO.
The UFO seems to have much more of the red spectrum which I hear is good for flowering.

Here they are best room mates ever!



Topped at 3rd set of leaves (1.5 week mark) and now very stout and bushy.

Stayed off the nutes until 3 week mark and now giving 50% strength Terra Flora liquid in PH 6.2 tap water. Also a little seaweed solution in there just for soil condition. Fully flushed before first feeding to balance PH (was at about 7.5 from first flush run off)



Putting on about 2cm a day in height and plenty of width as well. Turning into quite the bushy little thing!

no idea, mate. Both lights are those cheap ones of Ebay. £20-40 each. Will run them for the first few grows and maybe upgrade when I get a little better at this and the funds have replenished.

End of week 3 and our little beauty stands at an impressive 22.5cm high with a waist to match. Switched to full strength veg nutes today. Ran through 2 litres of so until I got about 10% run off.
Switched fans in my grow cupboard to a couple of cheap PC fans (£3 each) I bought online. Don;t push a hell of a lot of air around but they certainly keep it moving and are drying out the top layer of soil.

No photo yet but sitting at 26cm this morning. Growing faster now!

Now standing a mighty 33cm tall and putting out her first white pitstils this morning. Flowering here we come! Will flush and switch to flowering nutes this week. Watered and fed yesterday before these pistils appeared so will give it a couple of days to dry out a bit first.

End of week 4 and we're well into the start of flowering now. Standing just over 36cm and, I think, starting to slow down a little. Putting all her efforts into putting out pistils and the start of a few buds.
Flushed with 4 litres of PH6.2 water this morning ready to start Canna Flora nutes (1/2 strength as I've read autos can be a bit testy with nutes) the day after tomorrow.
PH on run off @ around 6.4.

Been away for a few days with work and left my plants in the care of my dear wife. She's obviously got a talent for these things because we've had a growth explosion! Now standing nearly 50cm tall and covered (I mean COVERED) in little buds just popping through.

Really impressed with these genetics which is a change for a few of the MSNL seeds I've had before. Not had great luck with them in the past.

Switched to Canna Flora nutes (1/2 strength) a few days back and really looking healthy.

Only concern was 2 of the original fan leave right at the base had yellowed and half rotted off the plant. I'm assuming it's normal to lose some of the very base leaves when production switches to buds up top but something to keep an eye on anyway.
