Northern Ontario. My 2nd outdoor grow. Ice, Lemon Skunk, White Widow and AK47

OK Here's my outdoor grow this year. It's the second time Ive grown outdoors, Im an indoor guy. The first time was just a mother plant I threw out in mid August, years back. This year I have 6 Ice in the ground, 3 in 7 gal pots and 2 Ice mothers in 4 or 5 gal pots. 3 Lemon Skunks, 1 Ak47, 1 White Widow all in 7 gal pots. Using promix in the pots and feeding them Optimum Hydroponics A + B, now obviously using the bloom formula. In the ground I started them with bagged topsoil, some compost from the compost bin, time release 14-14-14 and bat guano. Now Im feeding them the Optimum bloom as well and theyve all gotten a few shots of Carbo Load and Fulvic Acid. Indoors, outdoors, hydro, soil, promix, whatever, everything gets 3ml per gallon of H2O2. Everything. Everytime. All the pics tagged "outdoors.jpg" are the ICE in the ground, everything else is in pots.

Here's the ICE in the 7 Gal pots.......

Just over 3ft tall from the top of the pot. Looks to me like I have another 2 or 3 weeks to go. Im REALLY happy with the ICE strain for the outdoors. In this area it's usually the only strain that'll finish. I put them out in mid June. Rule of thumb in this area is July 1st cuz you cant guarantee you wont get a frost anytime before then. Id have liked them a lil bigger but this way I dont have to worry about the blue birds in the sky scopin me out. The tuck under big branches quite nicely and they get a full day of direct sun. Nights are always cool and thats kind of a drag but hey, it's where I live and it is what it is. Here's the mother of all these plants. I decided I wont need anymore clones till next year so I started another one and put 2 mothers out to bud. I thinned out the branches quite a bit. They wont be too big but why waste it ?

I didnt grow the White Widow from seed. My neighbor got a few clones early in the spring and asked me if I could look after them till it was time to go in the ground. I did and in return I snipped a few clones off it. Looks like a White Widow but I could be wrong. I love the way it's growing. It's not topped but looks like it was cuz it has 3 main colas, all close to the same size. There's nodes from top to bottom of the branches. I just love the way this thing grows. Its a lil slower than the Ice, probably 2 or 3 weeks, closer to 3. Im just blown away by the growth of this thing. It seemed to be a bit behind the AK47 but it's passing it in the outside lane ;).

Oh, mind the dates in the pics. 2024 ??? OK so Im ahead of my time, nice !!! By the way, these pics are of the same plant, there's only 1 White Widow.

Im not into topping but a rabbit got this one and I geuss at the right time cuz it's doin just fine :) This one is planted in the ground. ICE. Wont taste as good as the ones in pots but I dont think I'll have problems getting rid of it. Back later, off to work (yes at my real job) for a few hours...

OK this is cool. I got a tray of clones off my buddy 2 years ago. It is a short plant with super hard nugs. Hit you in the head and you'll have a lump !!! Yields good and is an ideal candidate for SOG. This very plant was in bud and as I was chopping it down I couldnt let it go. So I left the smallest bud on it and put it back under 18 hrs. Took so long reverting I started to lose hope. It was well over 4 weeks when it started tgo show positive signs of vegging. So when it did I let it grow a few branches and took a clone, then put it out in the sun. Took off rather well. Whats surprized me is the similiarity between the AK47 and the White Widow. They are definitely different but Im assuming theyre crossed with one of the same plants somewhere down the line. It too has nice side branches with 2 main colas and lots of vertical branches. Bud sites from top to bottom ov everty branch. I know it's great smoke so Im lookin forward to smokin it and comparing it to the ones i grew indoors. It's probably the fastest strain next to the ICE. If it works out the way I want it to, I may throw a bunch outside next year. I'll see what this year brings and take it from there. Again I got a tray of clones so I cant guarantee it's an AK47, but thats what im told. Here ya go...

They look great, and that rabbit did a nice job!

The only thing I would worry about in N Ontario is that the rest of the vegetation is going to die back, and you have these little islands of green.

But they do look nice.

Are these Ice from Nirvana?
I ordered 5 Ice fem seeds for a buddy this year. They look great.Really early budders. I wish I would have gotten some myself.

Wagontail, The ice in the ground should finish up within a few weeks Im hopin. The others in the pots can go inside cuz shortly after the ICE is done frost will be making an appearance. So there's a method to my madness with the 7 Gal pots. All the Ice in the ground will be the first to be chopped cuz if need be, I can moce the others around if they stay outside.

MTB, I have no idea where they are from. I got them off a guy who worked with my GF. He was moving and needed a babysitter for the move so he gave me some to return the favour. Apparantly he's had them for a few years. I know there are different ICE strains. However I dont know which one I have but I DO know they finish up here and thats important.

Thanks for the compliments from both of you's. I geuss my indoor experience is somewhat paying off outdoors. Im quite happy myuself with what Im seeing. I'll definitely end up with some poundage after its all said and done.

These ones I put in the ground, as I said in my first post, I used topsoil with some compost and 14-14-14 time release. Im just hoping they taste ok. Thats my only concern. Considering the cool weather Ive had Im happy with the size of them, Theyre averaging 5 ft tall and some of them are as wide as they are tall, check it out...

Those are beauties, smrt. Nice job and thanks for sharing the tips on early blooming strains. It's nice to hear it from the mouth of a horse from this area. By the way, the ones you bring in, will they be going under lights? I have a few (well, okay more than a few) that will definitely need brought in and was just wondering.

Definitely, they'll be goin under a few 1000 HPS lights, if not 3 or 4. I should only have to bring in 5. The 3 LS for sure are coming in and we'll have to see how the WW and the AK make out in a few weeks time.

Actually this is my second outdoor grow, first one I finished outside. Ive grown under 600's a few times but mainly 1000's. 400's Ive only used for veg. I believe in intensity !

Getting some pink hues from some of these, kinda cool lookin...

BTW the first pic is the one that was topped by a rabbit, not too often they do you favours, eh ?

All great looking specimens. It's been a solid growing season up here, until recently. Hopefully this rain blows on out. Indian Summer anyone?
