hi

i germinated some northern lights seeds about a month ago and 2 survived.

one is at my mates house under an envirolite being kept on ice and mine is under my 600w and looking well....but....the stalk is really tall. the top of the plant is quite bushy with small leaves but the stalk is a good few inches.

shall i bury it more? or will it start to fill out?

looking at other peoples pictures, theres have barley any stalk showing and just pure bushy from the start.

Did you have good lighting from the start? Some plants are naturally tall too. You can try LST if your think they're getting tall.

Move it to a bigger pot soon, and LST it. You'll be fine :). Or you could bury it some more, but don't water it so much if you do. I read something about rotting the stalk if you overwater.

whats lst it? lol

yeah i was thinkin of transferring all four plants to the 11litre pots now as i have decided to only grow this many.

i was worried about over watering them if there in large pots at such a small size though?

LST=Low stress training. You tie the plant down to the soil or pot using a soft tying instrument. I'm going to use some soft string. You tie side branches and the main branch to where they're around the same height. But that's later, your plant isn't big enough to be concerned with that yet. Do a search on "LST". When you water, water until some comes out of the bottom. Then don't water again until the soil is dry. You will know if you're overwatering, the leaves will droop down. You will also know if you underwatering. Again, they will droop down and then perk up when they take in the water. You're putting them into different pots right?

lst is also know as training or tieing the plants stalk down so the leaves and eventually buds toward the bottom of the plant can recieve light and grow bigger

cheers. yeah im transferring them into 11 litre pots today until my bulb blew up last night. They have gone through the night in darkness which is no good!

Is this autoflower or regular? How long has it been in darkness? You can always just set up some CFL's in the mean time until you get another bulb. No biggie
