This will be my 6th grow. I am excited about this one since I have figured out what seems to be optimal for my space in terms of lighting, pot size and organic nutes.

I have learned how LST works best and also how to keep stress to a minimum. To much stretching and pulling on the plants causes hermi's as does heat stress, poor soil, over feeding/watering, and inadequate lighting or poorly handled lighting schedules.

The desire of course is large potent yield and no seeds. This time we will FIM instead of topping and try to fill the space with as much plant as it can handle.

Currently, I have a clone from my 'Hot Stuff' still in the flowering chamber along with some other bag seed plants that I FIMed three weeks ago. So far I can say that everything I grew to completion, was better than the original in terms of potentcy and taste. Yields varied but that was mostly due to my noob status. In short, I am getting the hang of this growing thing.

My last grow yielded 33 grams dry from one plant. My first grow yielded 7 grams dry. My clone from my last grow had a 21 gram cola that I cut to dry 4 days ago and it will be jarred up for curing. I have been growing no for almost exactly one year and getting better results with each grow. Pictures and more diatribe to follow!

Ah, I just love good ganja on the cheap!:eyesmoke:

the joy is indescribile,huh?yielded 3/4 of my first plant.learned a shitload too.not overreacting for me is a key.patience is a virtue!GOOD LUCK!!!!

So true man. I think everybody is antsy their first couple grows. You can see it in the noob section in the titles. Sounds like 7th grade or something. " I just sprouted my first cock hair....if I get lucky will she get preggers?" LMAO:mrgreen:

Ok got some pics here gimme a sec

Pics one and two are the sprouts...I dunno what happned to the third but all three germed and all sprouted today.

Pics three, four and five are my bag seed babes in veg. They are really healthy. The first is squatty and close nodes. The second is lanky and sativa-ish. My guess is squatty will be a male and lanky a female.

The next six pics were shot thru my magnifying glass.....not so good but its fun to play around

The next two are a good bag seed female that was fimmed and is fairly close noded and is about three weeks into flowering.

The next two are of my strange clone. the 22 gram top was cut as it was just too heavy and had hovered so close to the lights that it was finished before the bottom nine buds. They are still on the vine and up closer to the light to mature.

The rest of the pics are bud shots of the bottom nine and the last two pics are the 22 gram top on the drying rack. I plucked one bud from her and put her thru the bong. Better than the street offerings I have around. Sweeter taste...two toke buzzbongsmilie

Oh yeah the important info. Currently I am using Hoffmans Organic soil. It works really well but unlike FFOF it does attract some bugs. Nothing major but pests none the less. So far the results have outperformed FFOF. When the NL are potted up they will get my summer long composted soil from my pile out back, mixed with wormcastings, vermiculite and my left over FFOF and Hoffmans combined together. My compost has coffee grounds, banana peels, eggshells, and various other plant and vegetable left overs since June. Before I add all the ingredients the compost will be sifted and backed for one hour at 150, Then I will mix in the other and turn it for about a week or two before using.

The seedlings are under a two 48" warm white shop lamps. They sprouted within 24 hours of hitting the soil. I use filtered tap water but often I just keep my finger in the stream as I fill my watering can and that takes care of the chlorine. No problems ever.

I water with homemade teas for my plants in flower. Nothing special. A handful of worm castings, 6 drops of Shultz stuff, a cap full of Alaska Morbloom 0-10-10, and some molasses in a gallon of water and mixed in a tub with an aquarium pump for a couple hours and feed as normal. Every other watering is 1/2 quart per plant of tonic water. They love this shit. More oxygen to the roots.

Seedlings get straight water for three weeks and then some( 6 drops) Miracle Grow plant food. I hate the soil, but a light feeding with this stuff made those two bad seeders waiting to go into flower, healthy and growing like crazy. One is 24 inches tall at one month and the leaves on both are flat and happy and chasing the light. More later.

Thanks for tuning in guys. Lets grow some herb!:eyesmoke:

Looks like yer learning alot over your grows... I cant wait to finish getting my gear!!!

Yeah, its really been fun. I still dont know shit. Dont wanna be no Guru, but I sure like my homegrown over just about every bag I ever purchased. Not all but shit, I've been smoking since 1976, lived over seas and on the Mexican border for some years. I've seen some stuff. The best shit was simply hard to smoke, and could be smelled easily even if stuffed in a Rhinos ass at the zoo, across the fence and 50 yards away......and then it wouldnt stay lit.

Uh a quick change here. The top on the rack weighed 21g not 22...and as of today it is 10.3g dry and the stem snapped crisply. Into the jar she goes for aging!

The bottom half was harvested Friday 10/23/09. She was dry yesterday, trimmed and into the jar with the rest. That weird little clone gave me a total of 23 grams dry.
A nice filler grow between types. Havent been out of pot since July! Its a deisel hermi I am sure but it tastes great compared to street offerings. A different buzz, more for the head and less to the body.:eyesmoke:

Gentlemen...& ladies! What it is!:eyesmoke:
My seedling are doing ok but for the most part have lost one. Its alive but dragging ass. The other two are perking along but I did let em dry out a bit to much once and the lower leaves yellowed. No big deal. So now i have two NL that will be potted up this week sometime

Heres a few pics:lol: Nothing special yet. I got more pics from my other stuff I got on the vine. More pics in the morning. Good stuff I think and Ii hope some growers on here want to chat a bit. I have some ideas and hopefully we can a discussion going and not a pissin contest over who is pulling whos chain etc.:eyesmoke:

:weed: Since weekly updates on seedlings can get boring until you have some real growth and or changes figured i would share the other Schwagg I have on the vine.

Currently I have two ready to pot up and put into flower hours. This was a small purchase from August, made with a friend to hold us over while my grow got a little age in the jar. It was pretty good and so while stoned I just jumped my own plans and germed a couple. Fimmed for the first time and am really pleased with the results thus far. Experience from grow number 5 also known as " Hot Stuff". For info on this grow check out my other postings.

The plant was a test subject I knew would make good smoke but had no idea how it would do with LST! One plant under 360 watts yielded 33 grams dry. An ounce plus, one plant, cfl, new grower. I thought that was pretty damned good and once cured it kept three people stoned for over a month.:hump:

We are now smoking the lone strange clone from her and while a hermi....its still better smoke than even her mom. This clone hermi fertilized the light green Schwagg you will see in these pics. She has been sampled and is potent as hell so will probably germ her seeds ASAP. Just to see how my choices are merging together, even if by accident.

The other two girls you will see here have been kept away from anything bearing pollen so hoping for some sinse from these two.

Today I am testing soil ph and NPK values. I started some compost last June and wanted to use it as an additive to my purchased soil so as to make my own supersoil of sorts. So, bought a test kit and it turns out it is medium on N, High P and high K....which is what I wanted for flower. Hopefully this way my purchased organic will be enough for Veg and my composted mix will be used for Flower. The hope is that my only real task during flower will be to simply water em combined with some LST.

Oh...PH was just under 7...about 6.5 to 6.8 I would guess. This afternoon we are going to build some soil and up pot over the weekend! Wish me luck... Pics Sunday night.
