heyall im new to this site just after some advice as im a noob to all this im in week 5 of veg under 250hps and wantin to flower them all will my 250 be power full enough to flower any feed back would be well appreciated i will upload some pics thanksDSCF3296.jpg

im just toyin wth gettin a 400 to flower and keepin a 250 for vegging would u say these are healthy lookin bar the obvious one thanks for the reply
 
bro defo healthy :) looking good bro im using 600w hps for both veg and flower should really have a mh for veg go better but yeh 400 is defo enough mate good luck :)
 
they look awesome dood. cept for the one with ph issues all twisty. but im sure will come out of it. a 400 will be a whole world above the cfl, and a watt is a watt for the cost to run. on average the 400 should cost only about 15 bucks a monthy to flower with. in fact it will cost less than running the 250 cfl at 24 hour for veg. id recomend the 400 to flower with if thats the route you where looking at. will pay for itself in the first grow for the buying cost and impro9ved yield and potency using an hid

mh arent needed any more. we have dual hps now and has way way more output and grows them faster and better. you only realy need mh if you do months and months of veg

ahh nice bro :) im using hps any way for both thought the mh would be better shows im still learing ha
 
there are still many online making wild claims of they cause stretch but ive ran hps always for about 10 year solid now and i dont seem to see this mythical stretch. usualy cause they run lights to far away
blue light waves are more powerfull than the hps colours. another reason they output less lumens in a mh versus hps. it isnt needed. the blue travels further. but it also dies real fast so we loose in the end. the more modern dual hps has more output than reg hps and has on average 30% blue with the hps colour. and being it is more powerfull a light wave then we dont need more than the 30%
 
ye cheers for all the replys peace of mind srted ye the little one got serious issues but shes pullin through worse comes worse i wont flower her wth the others just leave her veggin thanks a lot all
 
i owuldnt say serious iussues. lookjs like a ph imballance to me. i get it still to now n then. some are touchier than others
 
if thts the case it will be safe to keep veggin and maybe use it as a mother sure u will have more experince than me srry keep buggin u
 
the bulb am usin at the min is a 250mh my wrry was more on flowerin wth the low wattage compared to a 400 our 600 hps to how much bud i will lose how potant it will be
 
need to know also when they compare wattages output to other lighting for cfl..it isnt to an hid. its to reg house light...w watt is a watt is a watt and cost the same no matter the light bulb. and a cfl is super super week compared to hid...night and day. the 400 hps will get you 55k lumens. what does the 250 cfl put out...x2 for lumens
