Noob question regarding Soil. (Using Fox Farm)

So im using Fox Farm Ocean Forest for my beautiful ladies, i just got everything ordered up tonight and i know i want to keep the pH level of my water at around 6-6.5.

Am i right to assume that if i keep the pH of my nutrient water at 6-6.5 that the pH level in my soils will stay around those levels as well or is there something else I will need to do to find and watch the pH level of my soils? Or is watching the ph level of the soil not really a thing and im thinking to far in to it? Any help and walkthrough is MUCH appreciated!

I used FFOF for a few years and though Im not an expert this is what i found.
The PH stays pretty stable between 6.3 and 6.8 no matter how I ph'ed the water. So If you stay around there(6.3) you should be okay.
The biggest thing i found was to flush the soil out very well around the first week of flower. FF soil is pretty hot and after you feed during veg ( even small amounts) it has quite a bit of salt build up. My plants would start burning up in weeks 2-4 of flower and I didnt know why....when i started flushing after veg, it stopped happening.

To get an accurate Ph reading of what's really going on inside your pots, you simply measure the "Run-off Water".

That will give you an indication of the "combined" Ph (soil + water). Then you can use that information to determine what Ph the water should be next time you water, in order to achieve a proper "run-off Ph".

I've used FF products and found that the run-off was pretty low, due to the soil, so read run-off, I try to keep it around 6.0 never lower, just my preference..... also, nutes usually lower the Ph too.... so, again, check the run-off......

you may not assume that. soil will buffer the water/nutes, not the other way around. measuring run-off is not accurate. make a slurry of a soil sample and directly measure its ph.
