Noob question about trichomes

It my understanding that when you smoke the bud, it is the trichomes in and on the bud that gives you the high.

If that is the case, what about the leaves with all of the trichomes on them? I see pictures posted here with leaves just coated with them. If they are what matters, why do you trim the leaves off?

Trying to understand.

some people use those leaves to produce Hash and other stuff like honey oil and more. it just really depends on you. i hope that helps a little, i know it is not a thorough answer but it is part of one.

We trim them because they taste a bit harsh. If you don't mind the taste you can just leave on the sugar leaves. I always trim because my ol' lady wants good trim for baking. She has a couple of medicinal customers for any thing she makes.

So your wife uses the leaves in her baking? I.E. Brownies? Or am I off base here?

Right now it's butter tarts and shortbread, but she was checking a chocalate chip cupcake recipe out for a girlfriends' B-day. She has standing orders for all her baking right now, I don't produce enuff trim to really keep her supplied.

i do the same thing as jimmy. I use all my trim for baking needs. best way to get the most out of your crop.

Well they could be baked with bud, but that would put up the price, I don't know about shipping, probably only cool in Canada..

yea i have people who love peanut brittle with cannabis and they will pay a good price for the stuff, the same with cookies and brownies, and i make a chocolate cream pie that is to die for and the smallest piece will get you F*&cked up, my boryfriend LOVES it and so do all of his Friends.
