Noob nute deficiency

Can someone name the nute deficiency?
I'm using Coasts of maine platinum mix and only using filtered water.
My issue might be pH because i haven't pulled the trigger on a test kit yet.

How old is it and how long has it been in that soil?

You don't need to pH growing in that soil unless you're water is crazy high or low from a well. Tap water is already pH'd typically between 7.5 and 8.0 to prevent leaching from the pipes. That soil has dolomite lime in it which will buffer the pH. Millions of people use similar soils and just water plants straight from the tap. If you were growing in coco or hydro then pH needs to be monitored and adjusted. I never adjust pH when growing in soil. Think of all the people growing plants in soil that have the same basic requirements as cannabis. My grandmother never ph'd when watering her plants. Nurseries water plants with municipal water. Chlorine, chloramine, pH levels and their plants all grow just fine.

I had always Phd my soil 4 weeks after transplants. I dont use living soils.

I attempted to water my plants 5 weeks into flower with just the hose. Ph is 8.0 super low amounts of free chlorine. After a week I began to see issues. Mostly nitrogen related.

Went back to Phing with the same feed % and issues went away.

I've experienced this multiple times in the past. Maybe its a conditioning thing. Maybe my plants got used to being Phd and didn't like the high alkalinity. Idk.

ive had similar issues with phing my water in my amended black magic potting soil, the 2 times I forgot to do my ph, shit went bad quick. I've sense switched to promix bx and I have noticed 0 difference, the plants always seem to tell me when I am having issues feeding.Probably just my experience though, I'm not very familiar with the self ph buffers, but from the dirt I've used they don't apply so my knowledge might not apply here either. listen to XTSHO, always helpful comments from them

if you are ordering a ph test pen i suggest you read the reviews or better yet buy one in person 90% of the online ones are junk or missing the powder just saying from experience

I don't know what it is but I never seem to have the issues many seem to have. I've grown 7 ft plants in 2 liters of soil watering straight from the hose with a few feeds here and there. I think much of it has to do with feeding. I just use a simple nutrient and don't add things like silica or other additives that can change the soil chemistry significantly. I'm convinced that most issues are from the feeding regimen many follow using all the cannabis specific products out there.

3 gallon soil. Watered straight from the hose and a few feeds here and there. A few bottom leaves yellowing but I don't care. That's normal with any plant. The rest is lush and green.




2 liters soil watered with straight tap water and a few feeds here and there.

Its 2 1/2 months old and neen in that soil and container for 1 1/2 months
