Noob need help flowering very slow

Yeh sounds about right then so that would explain why the smaller ones finished good in the same setup, they didn't need as much airflow.

So I guess what I'm wondering now is will it finish? Which it sounds like from previous reply it will just way lower a yesil, I figured I wouldn't get the yeild I could if I had porper venting and what not but I just grow for smoke and figured if I can pull a few of every couple months it would be worth it, I wasn't expecting massive yeildd just wasn't expecting this either.
Just take it as a good learning curve.
In terms of what plants need the most. I put light at #1. Fresh air exchange, is a very, very close #2.

You will get some smoke man. It will ripen too.
You'll just have much less of it.

If there is any air replacement then c02 shouldn't be a problem. It would need to be sealed with no new air coming in.

Lack of nutrients would be part of it.

I also agree the story doesn't seem quit on. Something odd.
Even if there's enough leakage to keep co2 levels sufficient the Rh would be so jacked up that the plants still wouldn't hardly be able to breath. That said this is a tent with no exhaust. That's pretty well sealed.

Sorry it seems that way but it is what it is. The first was five plants using the exact lights that is the new one.

Using fox farm soil ocean forest.

Using fox farm nutes trio following the schedule.

I'm doing everything the same except this one I only used one plant and supper cropped it one week before flower. Then I did a defoliation three weeks into flower. Same lights same tent same everything, except the new one is one large plant from clone vegged for 3 months before flower. See pics.
1 plant vs 5 plant is not the same set up regardless of the same equipment. How the 5 plants function to your nute and light set up is to totally different from one plant that has been scrogged with the same nute and light. In other words you cant compare the two.

Fans in lower and upper canopy, no co2 or ventilation which I know cannot help but my first run came out great and I changed nothing in my setup.
Your statement above is misleading, which makes us think you have the same grow style and all.

Now setting that aside,

Forget about your previous grow, you cant use it as a benchmark for this grow

To hazard a guess based on the new info and pics, you're flowering a clone from monster cropping(one clue is 3 month veg)? One massive plant and multitude of branches? If I'm correct, from my experience, monster cropping produced really thin colas due to really slow flowering....and it takes forever to mature... you're probably looking at 15 weeks or more harvest. Monster cropping is good for making more clones but not for production.

You have been better off with your first style grow set-up if I'm correct that you're flowering a monster cropped clone.

I'm in a 4X4 tent.
Went from a 6inch inline fan, for extraction. To an 8inch inline fan.
Honestly. My oath. The plants were instantly happier. Just perkier.

Obviously you don't want a hurricane going on.
But just a little shimmer, in every leaf.

Without light, C02, and oxygen. Photosynthesis can't happen.

Photosynthesis - CO2 + H2O + LIGHT = GLUCOSE + O2

If it at all interests you,
Photosynthesis chemical equation is -
6CO2 + 6H2O + Light energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2

Light, carbon dioxide, oxygen and hydrogen is what a plant needs. Before anything. Period.

There you go.

On side note as well.
If it's a much bigger plant, and lacking light, the same could happen too.
It most likely doesn't have to do with your light. Though it could be another factor to add too. Older, larger plants need extra light.

How much light do you have?
Be specific as well. Please.
I'm using a king 1000 Watt LED but it says its equivalent to a 400 Watt hps

Then the four bulbs are just 100 Watt bulbs from home Depot I had.

I open it every time lights are on for a few hours, I think it's a combination of things but I'm just hoping it finishes. I'm sure the defoliation hurt it bad and it was just bad advise I received.

Thanks for the help.

Yeh, I vegged it while constantly topping it until it was a bush that was about 3 ft tall and 3ft wide, then I supercropping it to spread it out before the flip, I don't think I gave it time to heal before I flipped and then added more stress with taking the leafs and loolipopping.

The reason I defoliated this time is because I got crappy light peneatration the first time and only the top buds developed.

If this is the case. You need more / better quality light.
It's your leaves, that make your buds grow.
Again. Photosynthesis dude. Plants 101.

I think just adjust your next grow a little.

Get some extraction. First and foremost.

Don't defoliate. Prune differently. Shape it. Don't defoliate. Your leaves are stored sugar, the plant has been working it's hardest to store. So it can grow bigger, and faster.

Possibly look into a better light source. That sounds like a lot of lighting for a 4X4.
Not saying to choose hid. But if you're on a budget for upfront cost, hid is the way to go.
600watts hps in my 4X4 is ample light, for me.

Good luck with harvest op.
Happy future grows :peace:

No I just open it once a day for a few hours
You don't need much. That small of a space doesn't need an expensive inline fan. A simple 4 inch duct fan would be sufficient.

You need to exchange the air every 3 minutes. Length x width x height for minimum cfm rating. So a 4x4x6 room or tent need needs 32cfm. A 4 inch inline fan is around 190 cfm. Way over kill. You don't need much. Just exchange the air with a $30 4 inch duct boosting fan.

Maybe the bigger fan helped but it's lxwxh/3 for cfm needs for a grow room.

Something like a small grow tent doesn't need that much air.

I bet the op could get away with brewing wine or simple sugar and yeast for c02. They make those bags now for grow tents. Add sugar water and yeast and they make c02. I know it's not practical.

A small duct fan would be sufficient.

I have to say man, the difference in health, when I added the extra air was obvious. Immediate as well.
This might sound like total bro science, but they even smell different. Smoke better too.
I grew for years outside before moving indoors. I honestly can't tell the difference, in smell since upping the air exchange. Its always been the smell of outdoor weed that I like. It just smells different. Fresh or dry.

Extra air encourages an aerobic environment. Attracts, and breeds the right bacteria etc.
I never use pesticides indoors either. Haven't needed to yet. Touch on wood. Been a few years too. I honestly don't have an insecticide, or fungicide on my shelf, or in my garage.
I'm more organic than you realise. I believe prevention is the best cure. I havnt had any powdery mildew indoors yet either.
Fungus gnats and powdery mildew, run rampant where I live. My intake vent, comes directly from outside.
I live in a cold, damp, mountain climate. I've only seen improvement since adding the extra extraction.
I don't have an intake fan. My extraction fan does the work.
The only thing in my opinion, that should matter. Is whether the amount of air exchange is creating a tornado. Or temps and humidity, won't stay stable. Other than that. More air replenishment the better.

I believe it. What I am giving is minimal air exchange.

I've also noticed that buds that get thrashed by my fan for air movement tend to be better. The buds closest to it that move quickly from the air movement.

Just a update, since my last post I was able to add some air exchange and since then growth has enhanced. My buds look like they are thin but im hoping they swell into each other. I also think another thing that was working against me was too much N. I have very dark green leaves and some clawing so since my OP I have cut back in the N and only using boom nutes moving forward unless it tells me otherwise. I think I will still pull some decent buds, this strain is very potent too quality I hope it's still holds up at the end. I'm wondering now if the bud development looks normal to you guys? I understand I'm still a few weeks off, but it's seems like the shape should be more of a filled bud instead of the spindly look mine have.

that looks more like a 180w led panel and 15w led bulbs.

If you ever plan on upgrading, do the lights first.

Good job on getting the ventilation situated.
Thanks, I'm gonna up my lighting next I m just on a budget and growing to save money, my first harvest already paid for itselft so I'm gonna up the lights for the next run.

I just hope this one finished out as decent as my first, it wasn't a huge yeikd but the bud itself was some of the best I have smoke and I live in socal with access to alot of selections lol.

And the more I look into it's looks like it reveged for a few weeks then start flowering again, now we're off to the races with daily noticibke size growth. I notice the single blade leaves on top which is an indicators or revegging, unless stress cussed it which I couldn't find anyway to confirm that, it must have been the plant trying to make more leaves before continuing flower. Idk, probably all of the above.

Mate! I love it.
IMHO, you're spot on!
All of the above.

It's balance they like.

Just refer to the photosynthesis equation. Make sure all the parts in the equation are being provided. Then everything else, just automatically falls into place.

You'll get sugar leaves on your buds. Which are different to fan leaves, and only single fingered. A little bit rounder in shape too. Just a little.
