Noob aeroponic question

Ok, I've been all over this site reading about aeroponics and the problems that people have with clogging misters...I'm gonna start building a 32 site cloning system today with the usual plastic tub, net pots, clay pellets, pump, bla bla bla...my question is this, instead of using misters, why couldnt I use regular sprinkler heads that you would use for watering a lawn or whatever, hooked up to a pump, with the pressure being controlled by a manual shutoff valve?...seems like a real easy solution and there are a variety of different types to choose from
