The medium is in the water...which is hydroton...but my roots have gotten brown in some part...no smell or slime...anybody know ? I am using advanced nutrients lucas formula , no growth slow down or anything DSC00788.JPGDSC00787.JPG DSC00786.JPG

I am not seeing a growth stoppage or anything by the way...they are all still growing very normal.... no smell or anything either...just that ugly color brown on my roots :/

"hopefully this sets me on my way back forward..."
For Initial Inoculation or to convert damaged poor roots from serializing products to the microbe brew be sure to fully soak and rinse any chemicals from the roots and then let them soak overnight in a new reservoir of just plain R.O. with 2-4 ounces(i used 4 cups oopps ) of tea per gallon for 6-12 hours. Changing the nutrient water twice in the first week of inoculating poor roots is generally helpful. In some cases the roots will turn darker, but stay the course and lots of new white roots will develop.

5 dollars shipping :/ its ok same price... thanks very much for the info... I am going to go get 5 gallon buckets now before the tea arrives and start separating them all... all 4 seem to have some brown on the roots...I will treat the ones with the most on them first...they advertise as it being a permanant thing this root rot fix...I pray so :) I need my own supply :)

I got this I beleive due to the medium always being int he water... my silly ass first time dwc bubbler noob ass mistake...never again...

Avoid anything "organic" in the nutrient water, that means extracts, vitamins, acids, and definitely no Carbohydrates (sugar). Organics feed brown slime algae as well as pythium "root rot". A simple pure synthetic (chemical) nutrient formula with this tea will be all the plants need for optimum health and growth.

1.2785714285714285 EC 6 ph...I solved the issue...it was the medium touching the res. No more problemo...This is what I changed it to afterwards. Light getting in my tubes? wowsers....going to need to color them? :) Got tea coming in, they haven't stopped growing yet so yeah.... still got growth from them today after I checked them cuz I did that yesterday

That definitely looks like root rot. What is your water temp?

Its weird that youre still getting good growth, usually with root rot you see stunted growth and all around a crappy plant. Some of your nutes might stain the roots. For example, GH Micro will give the roots a brownish color.

U beat me to it a lot of people confuse stained roots with root rot now that's a noob mistake

Here are the pictures of the growth.... 68-70 degrees is my res temp...they all were sitting int he same res at 1 point... got tea on the way-the medium(hydrotom) was in the water on all 3 of them...6 inch net pots in a 10 gallon bucket now they are in single 5 gallon buckets
