Spider mites are a true arachnid. Like most spiders the mother places her eggs in a high position so the newborn can ride a strand of web that acts like a parachute through the air. One their on the ground the mobility is limited....that means they hike a ride on you or your pet. Spider mites can take a large dose of chemicals that would kill other bugs. What they cant take is something that will pull the water right out of their exoskeleton...that something is alcohol. 50% rubbing alcohol in a fine mist sprayed on your clothes and on your dog will instantly kill the mites. Cats? get rid of them. Screen glass windows?...if their hatching in your area they will fit through that screen with no problem. To create a barrier around your plant just use a solid line of Sevin dust...think of it as a moat around your plants. By the way does anyone know how to start a paragraph? I cant seem to move this cursor around to create single file list either.
