No Cotyledons?

I had one come up and stayed closed like the pod was still on it but wasnt anyway i kinda forgot about it in the corner and now its opened up with regular growth has 6 leaves and its not even 3 in off soil but there was no cotyledons anyone know have this happen?

You say it it stayed closed like the seed was stuck on it? Usually when one is "closed" like that, it is the cotyledons that are closed or folded on each other. Are you sure they didn't just wither and fall off after you forgot about it? As Sworth said, got any pics?

...and as well as the shell, there's a skin that encloses the cotyledons which can inhibit them opening if humidity is low...

yeah ive had them come up with seeds still on them before and had to take it off looked just like that for a few days then its true leaves formed and not the cotyledons probably a fluke in the strain (bagseed)
