OK, 1st smoke report, prior experience has always been bag weed, so comparing to what I've had before.

Strain: nl#5 from highgrade-seeds
Growth: soil MG Organic Garden + 10% perlite
Nutes: 1 tbsp dolomite + 1 tbsp MG Organic Meal per gallon soil
molasses/bonemeal tea for ferts during flowering
Yield: 35 grams under 3 26w cfls - micro grow
Bag Appeal: 8 - quite sticky looking
Smell: 9 - sharp pine odor - quite potent
Taste: 8 - used vaporizer - light pine - very nice
The High: 9 - very potent weed - wouldn't advise smoking a whole joint by yourself
Comments: Like many others who have sampled this famous strain, I was impressed with the strength of this one.
A real creeper stone, builds for a good half hour. A very relaxed and big smile high. Sit you down
quite comfortably in the chair(or couch). I harvested with trics just showing the 1st signs of amber,
so was able to function for several hours. Slept very nicely after that. Perhaps a bit of pain relief
but not dramatic. I would call it good for anxiety, no racy thoughts.
But one thing I really liked was the 'clean-ness' of the high. A very smooth, gentle transition down,
no unpleasant feelings of any kind. Organic grow may be partly responsible?
This bud was air dried for a week. Just a tiny popcorn that didn't seem worth putting in a cure jar.

hey growone,
excellent smoke report, I'd like to say when I grew this strain a couple years ago,
it's exactly as you described it, although I went through a different breeder/seedbank.
It's just now I realized you went through highgradeseeds.

My question is what seeds did you get for free?, they say you get some freebies------
PS:if you said in one of your journals, I missed it

interesting on your experience with the strain, a see a few that seemed to have poor results from various breeders, i guess i see that with reports on every strain

highgrade will put 2 or 3 free seeds on top of every 10 seed order, but they will be the same strain that you ordered

i got them from vancouver seed bank. this was my very first grow and i attempted to germinate them but failed when they dried up over night lol, so i was gonna toss them and buy more but i decided to try again with a different method a few months later, and overnight i had ten sprouted! was pretty impressed lol, i thought for sure they were garbage after the first germination attempt! All 10 grew to about 4 inches tall, then i had to transplant into bigger pots and kinda killed 2 of them by being to rough on the roots.....but the rest bounced back fine! i have 4 females for sure and the rest i cant tell yet. getting very stoked now though lol

It's been about a month or so since my initial smoke report.
I thought a follow up would be a good idea. Weed has 2 faces,
the 1st few times you smoke it, and the feeling you get after
a few weeks.

Tolerance hasn't seemed to build too much, some, but not much.
This bud was cut with the 1st amber showing, was kind of looking
to see if I could get a sativa from an indica, and was also wary
of getting a couch lock which really meant pass out.

I can say the popcorn bud is not really far away from a sativa.
I can puff this in the afternoon, and function quite nicely.

Now the more mature bud is a different beast. It really has a wicked
head rush. This is really the express elevator. Bit more head rush
than I like. if you like a strong head rush, this weed's for you. The
way up head is good for about an hour or so. Then you ease into the body.
And it's a pretty fine body. This part I like.

So for me, the next grow will be a fair more amber. Not 50%, maybe
the 20% zone. I can still say that I'm satisfied with my 1st indoor
grow, but I think I can do a bit better on the 2nd.
