Nirvana...........

Ordered from them, New York Power Diesel, Papaya, and Crystal.
Papaya predicted 7-8 weeks, Crystal 8-10 weeks, and the Diesel 9-11 weeks.
The Crystal finished first, though difficult to germ., and the Papaya and Diesel both took over a month longer to finally ripen.
Just soaked a Papaya and a Crystal (like I have been doing lately with everything after a few old bagseed didn't seem to cooperate, and again, the Crystal didn't pop until now, 5 days in soil while the Papaya stuck it's head up the evening of the first day.
Anybody else noticed any problems with the Crystal from Nirvana?

I liked their prompt shipping, even though I didn't get tracking or anything, and the packaging was nice and stealthy.......
One would have thought it was just a postcard or something even though it had 5 of each named, plus 10 freebies in it.

The Crystal was nice and sticky, smoked nice and was decent, but the Papaya seems to be a little stickier, smells more while growing, less visible trichs, but little stronger than the Crystal.
The Diesel, well, about the same as the Crystal.

All in all, nothing to complain about other than the fact I only have one Crystal bean left with only one plant to show for it.

Do you germ in the dark? At 78-81degrees? 12 hour seed soak not 24?

Nah, I just put 'em in a cup, under the clamp light with a splitter and 2 5k CFL's and keep it a min. of 70.......
Beech told me a couple years back that a little higher temp makes them pop faster, and after trying a couple, I found that from 75-80 works best for me.
Never thought about the light thing though, and it never bothered before.........

Your thoughts?

I soak in RO water until they sink, then plant them in solo cups with sandwich bags over the top, acting as a humidome. I keep them under a 400w light until they pop then transfer them to cfl lights, like the ones in my profile picture.

30 outta 30 every time with good seed. I use seedling starter mix which has almost no nutrients. Or sunshine mixed with ffof. Soak beans12 hrs. Moisten starter mix with water in a bowl and stir it with a spoon. Spoon into cups. 78 or a little higher, but never lower. I put em on a tray and into a cabinet in the flower room *with the door closed. Dont look for 48 hrs. Then opener up and shablamOoooOOOO!!!!! 100% every damn time

Gotta go transplant. Good seein ya again brother.

I'm lazy/ suffer from CRS on top of that, so I also cover the cups (with a sliced open ziploc held down with a rubber band) so I have more time to remember to check and make sure it's still moist, but my thing is, I only seem to be having issues with these damn Crystal beans, which I like best, mostly because they are the first beans I've done in over 5 years that have taken less than a full blown Sativa.

Don't know man, I have only ran Nirvana's wonder woman and northern lights. All of them popped.
