Hey dude, when I dry/cure, I just trust my "gut" on it. And I test it....which of course is a blast :bigjoint:. I have no set method like some others. When I yank, I turn her upside down and don't trim until it dries out a bit.

I usually feel the buds with my hands to gauge the moisture. If it's crunchy on the outside, and a little gooey in the middle, I manicure the colas.

I then stick it in a glass jar with a good amount of air in it. I then check it everyday to make sure it doesn't mold up on me. Also, slow drying is the trick to smooth smoke.


I almost fucked up my summer harvest because I got lazy and didn't check the jar every day. When I did, it was just about to turn on me, as in mold!! :shock:

I immediately took it out and put it in a brown paper sack. I saved it, but not by much. Imagine, spending 6 months tending to an outdoor plant in the woods, and then losing it!! It was a sativa, and took forever to finish. But.....it was worth it because the high was "creeper" and couchlock, and the buds smelled like tropical fruit. There was no skunk smell to it at all.

I'm not sure I'll guerilla-grow a sativa again, so this time I went with autos. I ain't fighting snakes in the dead of night anymore

I then give the jars fresh air about once a day or more for a week. It all depends on your humidity and the strain too. Hey Rawj..... theyve been hanging since sunday night and now are almost there!!! branches not quite snapping,, still a bit gooy for my liking!!! but im so shocked how much iv got,, i weighed out 4 oz from the harvest today all for my family xmas prezzys!!! and judging on that i reckon theres at least ten left SO SHOCKED THATS ABOUNT 2 OZ PER PLANT!!!!!!:hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump:I highly reccomend these to any novice such as myself, with the right setup,patience and alot of T.L.C the results can be awsum!!!!!!

Xam, sup???? There are alot of different opinions on this one but if yr asking how i watered them, you were right in guessing 24/7....Constant trickle well executed p.h,d water!!! bucket of water left out over night before changing as tap water has chlorine in leaving for one night lets this evaporate into the air,, any other probs give us a shout!!!!

:) Hey yeah man, I put on ALL BLACK and trudge down this steep muddy hill at 2:00am. I go through ivy and unstable ground to get to my babies. I've actually fallen and twisted my ankle a couple times, and my water jugs went rolling down hill.

If I can grow in conditions like that, I feel like I can grow weed up my ass :lol::leaf:

Very nice plants! This journal made me want to try out the autoflowering strains even more. I wish you could clone them but breeding for seeds will be just as cool.

Hey guys been a while but thought id update y;all on weight and smoke report,,,
Totall bag weight 574 gms of which abount 48 gms were lower small bud sites, thats a grand total of almost 21 oz,,, averages 3 oz per plant!!!! but yet some were less and some were more, for instance in the previous shot of me holding up the mini bonsai xmas tree that weighed in at 52 gms, so im guessing that plant mustv been at least three and a half oz, but as i didnt weigh each plant individually< its a very smelly ordeal and paranoia always creeps in speed is of the essence> il never know, but I AM OVER THE FRICKING MOON WITH THE RESULTS FOR A FISRT GROW!!!!!!
As for the smoke i would defo say its a high high rather than full couchlock,, definatly one for outdoor sports...tastes real fruity and the smell is a little overpowering, i walked in the pub yesterday with sum and it literally stank the place out,hahahaha....These come highly recommended

after seeing this im no longer going to grow disle ryder because i just ordered easy ryder . you used a 400 hps right ? because a good grow you get about a gram per watt you how ever got 1.435 gram per watt so i would love to know what brand bulb you used ? ++++rep

I think he is MIA. I have a few Q's for him as well. These are OUTSTANDING results. I really wish he'd been more specific with his conditions and levels so it would be easier to replicate. I'll be doing a 600w version of this grow starting in a week. My last grow went really well so this should be a little step up. Visit me on grasscity. same username.

Hey Growlow. Was so impressed by your results that i threw my old setup out the window and replicated yours as best I could. Instead of NFT i'm doing DWC. Should be interesting. My easyryder seeds (20) get here on tuesday.

got a 40 gallon res with a 320gph air pump with 8 sites and a 20 gallon res with the same pump and 8 sites.

I plan on starting them in the 20 gallon and moving to the 40 when the rootball requires. then start a new batch in the 20 gallon when they get transfered.:fire:

i'll be using a 400w hps under the 20 gallon and a 600w under the 40 gallon.

can you get a bit more specific with your nute levels. which nutes did you use, light height. things of this nature. just as many as you can think of. like i said. I want to replicate your grow as best I can.

Sup green man:lol:...Thanks for the props tis appreciated!!!!! I used...veg nutes were vitalink and bloom nutes were also vitalink <hydro>, twas nothing for the first week and a half then was bout quarter strength < 1ml per litre all the way through veg>then blooms quarter strength for week then half strength for 3 weeks then full for the last two and then flushed for the remainder...the light was relativaly close to the tips but i used a normal large desk fan blowing directly onto the light cooltubing in effect...hence getting me closer than normal!!!! Since my last grow was nft i cannot obviously advice you best with yrs but looking at yr pics and listening to yr lingo i have no doubt you are going to be rolling in it...hahahahahah,,, one thing i advice is less is more with nutes with this particular strain so hold back from dosing these pups up!!!!! i will defo be following yr progress dawg......... intrested in what a 600 can do given the right treatment....as i know you will....
I have began germing last night 8 more easys!!!! will be having a journal on here updating setup in next couple of days!!! hit me back with yrs!!! will be nice to compare....

sounds good growlow. Just keep me updates on your journal and i'll post weekly updates on your page. It sounds like you followed a pretty standard formula for growing these guys. I guess they have just never been done i hydro correctly before. How big did you rootballs end up getting on this last batch of easys?
Where exactly do the rootballs go in NFT, i can't really find a lot of info on that system.
