News Feed filtering

Is there a way to choose to only see posts listed from the people I follow, and not be notified every time they "like" another post?

If not, I think there should be. :)

...yes, I know how to access my news feed. That was not my issue.

When I access my news feed it is a dump of all of the "activity" that the people I follow have taken part in, including every time they "liked" a post.

All I'm interested in seeing is the *content* that the people I follow have said.

I was trying to figure out if there is a way to separate when they "like" a post from they contribute content to a thread, and only see the content.

Does that make sense?
