Newbie to RIU!!! Advice WANTED...

So Hi everyone! :hump:
I am new to Roll It Up, have been considering growing the past cpl weeks and have been on here researching a little before I jumped into the life style.

First off I have grown up around pot my whole life!!! I also figured its the one hobby I will never quit! So I went and purchased my own 1000w Light setup for my spacious 10x6 Storage room...hehehe.

I also purchased some Wonder Woman seeds :weed:...I was turned on by a fellow grower to Cana and their Nutrients. I have heard great things about Cana.

I am just looking for some tips and advise on what to expect, and maybe some hints on how I can ensure a great Harvest for this first time grower! :-?

Besides my setup and grow room which I will be setting up this weekend, :hump: I am a little hesitant about how to correctly use my Nutrients...my lively hood depends on me MASTERING the Technique of GROWING. "Thus I know, This can take Years"
But I have a lifetime to learn and prefect my Craft...:joint:

Happy Smoking...

if you're growing in soil, don't feed them any nutrients for the first three weeks or so, then only start using about 1/4 of what it says to use on the bottles.. after about a week or so at 1/4 dose, go ahead and bump them up another 1/4 or so.. then another week another 1/4 till you're up to full dose in a month this way... if you start to see any signs of nute burn before you get to full dose, ie, burnt leaf tips, back off the dose a bit and continue at that dose as this is about all they can handle for the time being..
a 1k light is going to be super overkill for early veg, so i'd suggest maybe getting a t5 or some cfls for early on.. if you're forced to use the 1k, make sure you keep it wayyy far away from your tender plants as not to kill them..

^^agreed. since you've already spung for the big boy [1000w] make sure you have proper air movement. you have a large space and it shouldnt be hard to accomplish. but the #1 noob mistake is going too big too fast. take it slow and wait for the plants to tell you their in need. dont go by a bottle, dont go by what you read. learn your plants. a proper wet.dry cycle is crucial. that way you learn when your plant need water and when it needs food. dont worry about the nutes just yet. you have a while togo b4 thats an issue. and many things can go wrong in the meantime. until then love it, and let it grow on its own. hit the search bar to find frequently asked questions and ask for help if need be. this is the time you should be excited, i am for you. goodluck!

Just posted some pics for everyone! I am very excited about my first major grow! Thanks for all the advice from everyone...I will be keeping a journal of my progress, and ALL tips and Advice are welcome! Happy Smoking Everyone!
