I have a 4 bulb 4ft T5 setup currently running 6500K bulbs for veg state. Should i switch or run a combo of 6500k with 2700k when i go to flower? If i do this how would i arrange the bulbs? Thanks again!

I'd add a HPS HID if you can. If not could you add another fixture with 4 more 2700 T5s? If not that then I'd switch to 2700K for flower. This is with the disclaimer that I'm very new and just finished my very first grow. Anyway whatever you decide best of luck. Oh and I used T5's for seedlings, 250 watt Metal Halide for veg and a 600 watt hps for flowering.

I would run a combo of both 2700k and 6500k for veg & flower. Use a 3:1 Ratio.

Veg = 3 6500k & 1 2700k

Flower = 3 2700k & 1 6500k

Awesome, thanks for the info. just wondering if the placement of the 1 6500k during flowering would make a difference? Just want the growth of the the plant to be somewhat symetrical. Actually just got my 4 bulb T5 setup today, first 25 days were with 2 bulb T8 setup which i am very pleased with the progress this far, just single plant, love seeing the progress everyday!

Crazym88: as you can see there's a lot of difference of opinion on that. I run straight T-5 lamps, specifically: all 5,000K's for vegging and all 2,700K's for flowering. A friend mixes his but he relies on the change in photo period and diet to do the trick to flowering. I can't say that he's had any better luck with his grows than I have. Another friend adds an HPS lamp to his T-5's for flowering and I'd say the end result is pretty much the same. Two others are vegging under T-5's and one is flowering only under HPS and the other is using only MH for flowering. Their buds are tighter, denser, but frankly I don't think they taste as good as mine. Without some really careful testing I don't think we'll ever find out why. I think the difference might be the difference in our nutes. The important thing is that mine do the job of deadening my arthritic pain at a small fraction of the cost. And for what it's worth I haven't found combinations of lighting recommended by any of the sources I've consulted like: Cervantes, Rosenthal or Greg Green, unless I missed it. I hope that helps. crazy88 listne to people who actually have proof on what they are doing and not jsut say so, this HSA guy has no pictures no journal entrys and no threads related to any grow he may have, just a bunch of random posted threads of random shit

the club t5 thread is an awsome source on t5s, and will get you down and gritty on all the info needed, T5s are an awsome choice and do an awsome job when done right,

hsa where the hell is your grow? ive not seen one with any pics or anything?

right lol, there not really opinion its a fact 2700k is great for flowering, how people mix it up after that or what they use is their business but 2700k-3000k is just basic knowledge...not opinion...

All this overthinking on my part was just the plant getting different light to certain parts and now i realize i can spin the plant everyday to get the equal amount on all of it lol. Just didn't want my plant stretching to on side or the other, very protective of my girl!

Oh yeah well check this out my seedling looks like it fell out the retard tree hit every branch on the way down then before it hit the ground it landed on Timmy rollin by in his wheelchair. Not sure the name of the strain, but I know its a jamaican variety. When I sprouted this from seed it took 2 days for it to sprout and grow out of the soil, I was thinkin it might look kinda gimpy cause its been growing so fast.

Uh it doesn't looke healthy at all and if it's growing so fast it could be a male I know it's not shit you want to hear but I would rather have people not waste their time and do it right so you wont be kicking yourself in the ass ^^^^

I def hope your talking about dvs1038 and not mine lol, i would be very depressed if that was my plant. Not that i can tell if mine is a fem or not, just certainly hoping so.
