this is definantly cliche, "my leaves are turning yellow"...i have looked at many pictures as well as guidelines however, i cannot pinpoint the problem. I have concluded that the leaves are turing yellow due to insufficient Magnesium, Calcium, Nitrogen, and Phosporus...BUT before i go on and buy all this shit, i wanted to ask the experts oppiion...take a look at the pic and please let me know what you guys think and what i steps i should take (what to get, etc..)....thanks brudduhs.

details about set up:
strain: Blueberry Haze

Green trees Bucket fill and drain system
flooding 3 times a day @15mins
using proper 75% recomended dosage of GH products ( i was told that the dosages on the back were at times over kill and just wasting money)

medium: Rock wool in a bucket of hydroton

lighting: 1x1000w and 1x600 hps both about 18'' from the tips of the plants

temperature, air flow, and humidity are perfect

also, i know that these systems can be caused by severe stress conditions well, during the first 3 weeks of flowering, my inline fan broke and didnt have much ventilation to keep the lights cool...i averaged at 82-85 degrees when the lights were on...and humidity would sometimes drop to 25%!!!! yea i know, thats shit...help me save my ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

could it be spider mites? or a nutrient burn?? sometimes you only need to do a quarter strength on nutrients.

Looks more like a Mag or Zinc deficiency to me, most likely Mag though.

Not sure about the specs - that actually does look like mites. Better/More pics??

Yea I think it's spider mites too...I'm going to the hydro store in the morning and blasting them bastards straight to hell.

What product do u guys recomened? For the mites and mag deficiency? Thanks for the help brudduhs!!!

Also, is it too late to save the quality of the crop?? And just curious, the room should be smelling dank by now right? Evrytime I walk in, smells like an earthy odor with a hint of dank. This normal for this strain? or is it due to the problems I'm encountering? The buds look delicious with tons of crystals...

did you see any mites or just guessing? you can see them if you look closely. If you do have them, well, shit man. 6th week into flowering, yikes. there are band-aid solutions, and but you're probably going to fight them a lot. There are threads on RIU that address fighting mites. Your problem is that you are so close to harvest time I think, that some methods would be considered unwise.

Unless you find bugs, then you definitely got a deficiency issue. I've actually had mites before.. BAD.. and you can see like webs over the bud if it gets outta control. How cool does it get in your room when the lights go out. If you went too long and it was dropping a lot in temp - basically your diff factor is what we're talking about. Ideally you want that around 10 degrees F I believe? You know, so if your room was getting 82 - 85, then at dark, it should be 72 - 75.

this could be playing a factor also.

need more deets honestly

What did u do to your situation? Did u just ride it out? Treat it?? I'm fucking pissed these shits are messin with my first grow...

again, did you find any bugs, or just guessing?

with a leaf damaged like that, if it were mites, you will see them, very small - yah gotta look. Also, like i said, you will see webs n stuff.

if you're not seeing this, you dont have mites. next diagnostic step.

whats the temp in the room when dark?

nha. there is definantly mites present under the leaves. no webs from buds tho.. i saw them just now looking at the leaves. the temps of the room when lights are off: 69 F and when lights are on 79 F

what do i do? what methods should i use? some peeps on the board just leave it alone and when they hang the buds to dry, the bastards go up to the stems. some water the ladies down, some spray them with soap...fuck, its my first grow, EVER. so please any advice you can throw out...shoot it over asap!

I'm buying lady bugs and bombing the shit out of them....what else should I get?Any more suggestions guros???

walked in the room and saw a gang of them at the tips of one of my babies...shit is getting really bad...ive heard of water alchohol and soap concoction...will this be feasible? and the lady bug idea, would that be suffice to kill most of the bastards????? should i spray the plants first then put the ladybugs on them? or what?

Hey Seebas, sorry to see you've got mites. Can only "suggest" two different approaches.

1-The ATTACK--Medium Spray bottle with three to four drops of Ivory dish soap. Gently rock bottle back and forth to mix ..suds) With all lights turned off, except to see with, spray each plant up and down , over and under, stem, buds, everything. When done let the dry out for at least a couple of hours, before turning them back to the light. This will kill about 80 yo 90% of them,"not all!" They'll spring back in about a week 1/2 to 2 weeks, where you'll have to do it all over again.

2- PASSIVE--No Pest Strips. There has been some argument about the safety of using anything "Unnatural" to help kill pest, weeds or most anything else for that matter. However I feel with this product, there is no spray, mist, anything that actually makes contact with the plant, it's the safest road to traverse. That saying, it's you plants, so...............
Wish You well in your endevours

ladybugs are good, but they take too long I think. That would have been something to introduce a while back - but then again, you didnt have mites then. Maybe its nematodes I'm thinking of that take too long. Might wanna poke around.

the alcohol/water ratio mix does work, I've done it. but its only temporary. you will be fighting them again in a few days. I would go ahead and try the ladybugs, do the strips, do the alcohol/water mix. I certainly would NOT just leave them alone. They will rapidly multiply and take over.
