Newbie questions about timing topping and internodes

Hi guys! I'm not sure my thread is in a good category, sorry because of it!
I have an Auto Hulkberry, day 16/17. The 4th nodes appeared and i topped it. Was it too early? Have i done it correctly? I upload before/after pictures.
My second question is, i think my internodes are too small.

The actual topping looks ok imo but most wait until there is 5 or 6 then take it at the 4th. Im seeing 2 or 3 but imo it will be fine.
thank you for the quick answer, it has 4 nodes if I count the first pair of leaves (with 1 big finger), but its hided by the leaves of 3rd node.
Honestly I have fear, I think I cutted too much :/
Here are the nodes^^

I personally wouldn’t count the first single leaf node but it looks fine to me. Remember by topping youve slowed the top down temporarily so don’t panic. Looks good imo

Thank you, next time i will not count the single. Its my second auto, and first topping. I didn't want to cut it too late because I heard auto is extremely fast, so i tried asap. Big thx!

Most autos do not like to be topped you might get lucky.

Guys! Should i worry about clawing leaves? The biggest fan leaf clawed up, and some another leaves (mostly the newest) clawing down. I'm really really worried, can somebody help? I can make more photos if necessary! I tried to identify the problem, but im failed:wall:

Bit of N tox there. Nothing to worry about while they’re in veg.

What is your room temp/humidity?

Are you feeding any nutrients?

I think my baby is in early preflowering stage, 1-2 days ago she showed some pistils, the average temp is 25-27 Celsius. I think my humidity meter not showing the true value, but its ∼30-50%. I started with a standard soil for weeds (Plagron growmix) and she rised without any problems.
Everyday 3-4 times I sprinkling the walls for better humidity, but it changes only 2-3%. And I'm sprinkling the leaves 2 times per day. Yesterday night I watered, because i though maybe the soil is underwatered, so i added 1-1,5 liter of water, and the water not came under. Maybe I f***d the watering(?)
No added nutrients.

Keeping the humidity around 50-60% will help her transpire less. Means less nutrients are being taken up as she drinks.

Also if you have a fan blowing on them that can cause the tips to curl as it strips the moisture away from the leaves. Make sure there’s not a constant breeze on them!

Id just keep using water for now, maybe a root stimulator if you have one. Keep an eye on the first set of leaves. When they start to go pale green/yellow it’s time to introduce a feed. Start at 1/4 strength and make your way up until the yellowing stops.

No you haven’t overwatered, don’t worry

How can i find out, Auto Hulkberry is "compatible" with topping?
I wouldn't worry about it. If you're interested in information about autos, you might want to log on to the cannabis site dedicated to auto flowers.

Note — I'm not saying leave RIU, just check out that site and go to the "auto flower myths" section where you'll find that auto growers routinely top their plants.

The wound that's created when a plant is topped it minuscule - it heals over in a few hours. Once that vegetation is removed, the growth hormones can't go to the apical stem so they go to the other stems. Life goes on.

I'm in day 52 of my first photo grow, having done five auto grows. I top my plants so as to remove the apical stem and have never seen any evidence that topping causes a problem.

My experience with autos has been that they fill and then grow out of my 2' x 4' tent. That's happened with Gorilla Glue, Gelato, and Strawberry Pie autos, all from different vendors. The fact that they grow so much has been such a PITA that I'm doing a photo grow so that I can control influence plant height.

The biggest issue that is see - across all four cannabis sites that I read — is that growers spend a lot of time adding "just the right touch" of supplements and very little time actually feeding their plants, by that I mean giving them enough light to get to the light saturation point (800-1000µmols).

My approach to growing autos — get an RO unit, switch to Jacks 3-2-1 for RO, top the plant (to even out the canopy), put a big honking light in the tent, get the PPFD as close to 1000µmols as the plants can handle, and watch your tent fill up. My topped autos are routinely >=50" tall and yield is at least 500 gm/square meter.

I'm a grower but my understanding was that tips that turn down were a symptom of, but not necessarily indicative of, over watering.

Re. RH and temp - just like humans, plants grow well in a range of combinations of temperature and humidity which are part of the topic of "vapor pressure deficit". The best explanation of that I've seen is here. The goal is to keep your plants in a combination temperature and RH where they can optimize their growth. If it's too warm and dry, they will take up a lot of water and you might run into nute burn issues. If it's too cool and wet, they can't transpire very much so they won't be taking up water and nutes. Check out that site and you'll get the hang of it.

Hi guys, its me again! After many stressing of the baby and me, slowly I reach the desired result. The first day of preflowering stage is ~23 of February. Can I continue the stressing method when she is started to flowering or i must stop now? And how can i recognize flowering is started? I attach some fresh photo of her, please help me to decide the things!:hump:

You can keep pulling on them for a few weeks more They’ll adapt. Topping and LST for autos is the way to go imo.. makes for more uniform plant and more bud site possibilities.
