I am growing 2 plants in a 2x2x6 under 250 watt MH/HPS. I want grow plants about 11 or 12 inches then flower. When should I top the plants If i want them to be bushy. This is my first grow, not sure what I'm doing. Thanks

Topping and training are kinda personal choices. I have a 1 meter square x 2 meter tall tent. I have a 600 HPS. I let mine grow straight for 5-6 internodes, and then, top em back just above the second. That gives me 4 good cola branches per plant. At a foot to 14 inches, I induce flowering. Mine end up about 3 1/2 feet. I get about 2 zips/plant. Maybe a bit more.
The lower wattage systems, do well as scrog(Screen of Green) grows. Yours sounds like a good candidate. That way, you can use the whole footprint, and keep intense light on most of the budding sites. Your choice, of course. Good Luck.
