newbie nutrient question

I read that some growers use micro, grow and bloom nutrients right from the start of growing in hydro and some who dont, i cant follow the manufactures schedule because it was a house brand bubbleponics by stealth hydro. Should I be using all three and then right before flowering flush and use just bloom?

From the company's FAQ:

How do I mix the nutrients?
Fill the reservoir to the indicated 6 gallon line. First add one packet of SH MICRO. Mix well. Then add one packet of SH GROW (use one packet of BLOOM if you are in flowering phase instead) and mix well.
If I were you, I'd buy some reputable nutrients like GH Flora 3-part. You're going to invest considerable time growing. You should know what you're feeding. If you have a problem, you'll never know how this nutrient compares to anything you might switch to. Even if the nutes are "free" (bundled into the price you paid for the kit), they're gonna cost you in wasted time (like now, wondering how much to feed).

After using a "boutique" product like GH Flora Series you can compare the NPK you're feeding to other boutique products, or buy bulk salts and mix your own for pennies.

ok, thanks, it came with directions but i have read contradictory information, was wondering if its better to keep adding micro, grow and bloom during flower or just flower...

It's hard to say without knowing what's in each. If the combination of micro and flower produces an NPK ratio too high in PK, it could be beneficial to add some "grow" (assuming you knew what's in that).

Do these things have labels showing their NPK percentages?

When you say conflicting information, I assume you're comparing the terms "grow, micro and bloom" to other products. If so, you can't make that comparison without knowing what's in your "grow, micro and bloom" components.

I used GH Flora 3-part with soilless Pro-Mix HP. I liked it. I used the "useless" schedule which seems to be the maximum strength most strains will take without burn. I posted some details about Useless's combined NPK, PPMs and how this changed with my use of KoolBloom liquid and powder. You can see that here. (<<link) The link to Useless is there too.

If you'd like to compare Useless to GH Flora Series's labeled dosage, here is the same info for the labeled dose/schedule:

--------------- R A T I O S
--------------- N-P-K ----------- K-Mg-Ca ------ PPM
Seedlings -- 1.21-1.00-1.82 -- 7.03-1.00-3.42 --- 124
Mild veg --- 1.21-1.00-1.82 -- 7.03-1.00-3.42 --- 496
Aggr veg --- 2.07-1.00-2.98 - 14.32-1.00-6.41 --- 950
Transition - 1.21-1.00-1.82 -- 7.03-1.00-3.42 --- 992
Flower ----- 1.00-1.28-1.59 -- 4.38-1.00-2.33 - 1,034

The PPMs are full strength. I.e., For aggressive veg the label says 3-2-1 (teaspoons). The PPMs represent 15-10-5 ml. If I weren't using "useless," I'd start at half (7.5-5-2.5 ml) and work my way up.

Good luck.
