newbie needs help!!!

well i am totally new to this. i am trying to germinate from seeds. and i am using a 250w MH for the ger. and grow session. is that ok??? my temp is 81-83 in the dome with the MH on. please someone just point me in the right direction.

You don't need the light on to germinate your seeds. The simplest method to germinate seeds is to place them in a damp paper towel in a warm dark spot. Check them a couple times a day until you see them sprout, then place them in your growing medium.

will it hurt to have light on it. should i just leave them the way they are or pull them out and put them in a paper towel?

it just makes the paper towel dry faster
you gotta make sure the thing stays nice n moist, just like you like a girls v.j.j...

What are the seeds currently in....soil, rockwool, etc.? As long as they're in a moist dark environment, you should get some sprouts popping up soon. The light isn't needed yet. Personally, I think 250w of MH may is too much for new sprouts - I'd put them under fluorescent lights for a little while after they sprout then move them under the MH after they're more established.
