Newbie looking to set up tent

So I think ill buy a 4 x 4 tent and use a 600 w HID light for the lighting, plan on 4 plants, ill be doing LST and using a trellis.
I am looking at a cooled Hood for the HID and two 6 inch fans with carbon filters one for bringing air in and one for bringing air out. and ill have a couple clip on fans for the tent . below are the items ill be purchasing. is this good ? I have several 600 w HPS bulbs already and figured id only need 1 MH and 1 HPS for this crop. any insight ?

I do have a ballast that runs between 300-600 Watts too . Plan on buying 5 gallon pots and insulated ducting for the fans, light.

Any Suggestions ?

You only need one good fan and one good filter. A fan/filter mounted inside the tent pushing air outside the tent will draw all the air it need in through the vent flaps at the bottom of the tent.

These fans come with a 10 year warranty.


These filters are the best. (8"x24" is ideal for hanging on the ceiling of a 4x4.)


You will need a speed controller like this



You will likely only have to run it at about 30-40% but better to have more power than not enough. A big fan running at low speed will move the same amount of air while running much quieter than a small fan at high speed.
