Newbie grower

Greetings one and all,

I just happened across these forums one day, thought Id try posting here a little and maybe getting some insight...

I started growing a plant about 6 weeks ago or so, from a seeds I got from a good friend of mine. Ive read many a FAQ on the process and had been wanting to try it for a while and thought "what the hell... Ill give it a shot."

I dont have all the means or methods to grow the perfect crop... but really, this one plant is just to test and see if I could even grow at all, maybe in the future, if things turn out okay with this one, Ill expand a bit and try my hands at more advanced methods.

here are some pics I took earlier today... they're not the best quality cause I took'em from a phone, please tell me what you think, and if theres anything I could be doing more.

Looks okay but quite small for 6 weeks. I also can't help but notice the 3 blade fans, hmmm. Are you by chance using an incandescent light/s for growing? What type of lighting do you use and how many watts?

I also can't help but notice that your status show you have 0 posts????

Hey, thanks for taking an interest in my topic.

Im only using an adjustable florescent light on the plant, keeping it roughly about 3 inches from the top leaves and moving it every so often. I was using that fan to try and ventilate some air and strengthen the stock, but the fan recently died... heh, just my luck.

like I said, my resources are kinda limited when it came to this, I only just grabbed what I had in the house at the time... I know Ill need to spend some cash on this thing if I want it to turn out better, what can you recommend?
