This is my third attempt at growing. the first two had to be eradicated due to landlord inspection. This third grow at my newly purchased house is going good Ill break down my problems and maybe someone can help, I apologize if I am in the wrong forum to be posting this.
Day 4 of germination, With one of two plants doing great, the other had developed these small black dots, no discoloration of the two seedling leaves. I clipped the black off thinking it was mold, and not wanting to effect the plant that was doing well. After clipping that plant finally started after 1 week and 2 days to grow the next set of leaves.
Now on to my current issue. I still have these black dots on both plants. I do have aphids, and have purchased Ortho Max Flower & Fruit & Vegetable Insecticide, I do believe that the problem I have is thrips, But I can't see them with my naked eye, or with my magnifying glass. I do have small black flies that look about the supposed size of thrips. I havent been able to secure one for study, after the very first spray of the insecticide, they have stopped flying around in great numbers.
As far as I can tell, THEY ARE NOT WHITE FLIES. so breaking it down here are my symptoms.
Black dots on top of small yellow patches on leaves, Drooping / wilting at the base of the leaves. As well as sliver / metallic scar tissue like patches on leaves.

Setup is a Dual Ballast 500watt Northern Light Co. HPS / Metal Halide System. Small 4' x 4' x 4' Custom plywood enclosure. With vent and charcoal filter, oscillating fan, Soil grow. Box was bleached and pvc anti-mold liner was also treated before and after install. but didnt sterilize Miracle Gro Garden Soil., sadly.
If i can provide anymore more information about these infestations, please let me know I NEED to know what these are. Keeps me up at night.kiss-ass
