Newbie grower looking for some indoor lighting advice!

Hey guys so ive been researching alot because im planning on growing some nice bud in my closet for personal use, i want to grow 3 plants and im looking for some advice...first of all im a college kid so money is a bit tight but not horribly tight and plus me and my roomate are going half on all expenses.... so here it goes

I already have 2 48" 3150 lumen 40W T12 bulbs...the color temp is what is scaring me as its 4100K, can i still use these or should i just leave em alone because i was thinking of mounting these tubes in the middle of the plants so that the under side of the plant gets some light........next i was thinking of custom mounting 6-8 CFL bulbs on the top of the shelf shining down whether they be all 6100K to start out in veg or a mix of 6100 and 2700, which bulbs out there will give me the best bang for the buck?.....i was also thinking of making some mylar curtains to hang from one of the shelves to inclose the plants. like taking some fabric and stapling some mylar to it and then make holes in the top and hang it from the shelves like a shower curtain, but i thought inclosing the plants would not circulate air as well?

if you got any suggestions or ideas dont hesistate to unload your thoughts, btw i will post pics of the closet this weekend so you guys can give me some suggestions on the setup. thanks guys happy growing :weed:

thinking about it now i think im going to moint the 2 tubes at the top and then get 6-8 lamps and surround the the plants with CFLS bulbs....you guys think this would be a better idea?

bump....new idea haha....i was thinking of using 40W CFL's and 26W's for veg and then get a 2700K 200W CFL for flowering...will this work out best?

Ill be a freshman in the fall so i plan on doing the same thing.
First of all you need to realize how long it takes to grow plants, because you might have to go on break and then your plants wont be taken care of so id suggest getting some autoflowering seeds that only take 60-65 days. Plus autos are fun as shit because they grow really fast and they are short and stout so they dont take up much space.
Second its good to stick with the far spectrums so 2700 flower and 6500 veg is the best.
Finally if you want a good mylar sheet grab some space blankets, they are really cheap and help alot. Some times if you have light leaking problems it will help more to add mylar sheets like the blankets than lights.
O and to get air flow just leave two passages in your tent with a fan at the beginning of one and its good to have the tubes at the top of your plants and the individuals around the sides to get the lower foliage.

yeah so you think some emergency blankets will do fine....space isnt an issue we have a huge walk in closet we are gunna use for just growing ill throw some pics up for you to see the space......should i even worry about the mylar since the whole room is white? Also i was thinking just the 6700K CFL's to start in veg and then get a 200W Envirolight to flower and leave those 6700K bulbs in place around the plants cas i know they still need the blue spectrum.....so how big do you think i can grow with 2 months from start to finish with the lights im telling you im getting? im also going to get some fox farms OF and FF Big bloom.....our break isnt until December 18 and i plan to start growing end of aug so i was thinking of veging them for a month and then flowering them cas the closet is about 8 ft high or so....ill make measurements of the room.......

main questions
-do those lights sound good for growing some decent yielding bud?
-on avg what can i expect to yield with that grow time and light?
-what are some good strains to get for a first grow that will yield well and taste good?
-whats the fastest legit place to ship seeds( i would really hate to wait a month for some seeds, thinking more like canada)

1/2... i use to ask these questions but its really up to lights, genetics and how good of a grower you are. There are literally sooo many factors to try to guess.
Ill low ball it and say if you veg for 1.5-2 months and then flower 8-9 weeks (indica, up to 21 for sativa) one Oz per plant. But then again you could fuck them up by stunting them or all other things and not get as much as you should.

3... there are no "easier" strains but just grab an indica dominant for example northernlights, right now im growing autoflowering so they are really easy and bud quick
4... Attitude Seed Bank Best site imo for seeds, discrete packaging and free seeds its awesome.
