A couple of my plants look like they are almost a marble color, these Light greenish spots are showing up, Another plant looks a little deformed, What is wrong with my babies?
I planted 11 AK47's 12 days ago, They are the first none autoflowering plant I have grown. They were growing fine in a pro-mix / perlite mix. I havent used any nutes yet, The air temp is approx 70 the soil temp is 78 and the humitity is between 55 and 65 depending on when I water. I only water when I can stick my finger down to my nuckle and it's dry (about every 3 days) My lights have been on for 24hrs day, untill today I swiched them to 20/4. I am using a 400watt MH for vegging. The reason they aren't under CFL's is because this was already set up from my last grow, I just switched out the HPS to a MH conversion bulb. I did keep them under CFLs for the fist week, I needed the closet for my LR2's the AK's have grown much better with the MH though. The light is 32" from the tops of my plants.

Any Info would really help.. Or am I just being overly nervouse?

they look like they are getting burnt from beinf misted, or wet, while under the MH. its not like with flourecents where it doesnt matter. hps or MH light intensifies through water drops on the leaves and burns it, they can not be wet under the MH light. lemme know the verdict

Thanks for all the help, I was beginning to think I would never get a replie.
Well thats a load of my back, I have been going down to basement 3 times a day, to mist the GD things. Thats good to know. I will stop misting, or only do it when they are on there night cycle, so they will dry by the time the lights come on.

mist the soil not the plants. and if you have to mist the plants for foliar feeding then mist the under side of them .

I had a similar problem with my outdoor plant. I was watering sloppy and getting the leaves wet and was getting what looked lil spots. I saw no signs of bugs or mold and researched to figure out it was the sun burning ma leaves. I guess it's similar to a magnifying glass effect. I stopped getin water on the leaves and the new growth never got any spots. Good luck :blsmoke:

yep good job bro, HID lights have there touchy spots and thats one, just like someone else stated, its like a magnifying glass effect. I hope they turn out nicely and just for a tip, I have never felt a need to mist or spray any plants besides clones rooting and have had no probs. if you are only foliar feeding(giving plant ferts through misting it on leaves) do it at night and make sure like you said its dry by morrning.

good luch- chaotic
