Interesting idea, but a 2" dia pipe at any point in the exhaust flow would be far too restrictive.
test it if its not to much of a hassle i would ..but ive got my house back together since the storm (katrina),, should have tried it,,managed to get alot of my duct work in walls while they where opened up..and got 220v running through to 3 different places besides the norm,,,
upped me electrical box to 200 amps
ready to rock and roll ..just wish i had half the equipment that was lost in the storm

What's the problem with gas going down the sewer? The majority of gas already follows down the 4" main to the 36" line outside of my house. The vent is there mainly to deal with the full load of flushing your toilet. When you flip that lever, vent allows air in, so that the pee traps don't suck(syphon) down througout the house.OMG if there was blockage that would be the end. toliets and sinks gurgling the odor of marijane all over the house. forcing gas down the sewer not good, venting out of a stack is ok if you make it look as a gas water heater.
