New to indoors, will it grow?

I am using CFL's, 2700k 100w=26w* or 23w*. I got 4 seedlings to a 1 light to 1 plant ratio. Will it grow fine for veg / budding? I am not expecting to make them huge aprox. 1~2ft. How many CFL's (of that quality) will I need per plant? They're about 1~3 inches each, already re-burrowed them a little. If you guys got a better suggestion that's just as cheap as a 4 pack @ 12~13$ USD let me know a link to the website or the store provider, I prefer to know how many lamps I'm going to need though instead. Also I have a light breeze on them (I've read that is good across these forums) for it be directly on them or should I osculate the fan? Please respond as quick as possibly someone knowledgeable with CFL's!!

no your onna need way more light i mean you could make it work bu it wouldnt be worth the time or effort

heres ur best option. go on craigslist and see if u can find a 250 or 400 hps for sale u should be able to find a decent old magnetic ballast one for about 60-80 bucks. it will veg and flower ur plants. ur yield will increase drastically and u wont have to buy 25 cfls. lmao.

This seems like the best option, thanks for all your opinions people.

or ebay and amazon. u can get a newer digital ballast 400 kit for about 150 bucks and it will come with an m/h bulb for veg. an hps bulb for flower. a few light hangers a ballast and a hood. iif ur going for cheap for the time being this is what i would do. u can get a 6 inch inline fan to cool everything for about 50 bucks on craigslist.

craigslist for all ur growing needs. lol. plus its the end of the season so shit will be very cheap. people just trying to get rid of stuff now. good luck.

You can't go back in time, but doing a lot of reaading, establishing a budget, and asking questions is a good thing to do. Are you able to use MH and HPS? Do you have ventilation? There's more to discuss.......

I'm growing in a card-board box aprox. 3ft tall, 10ft long. Have it long ways down, may adjust once I know which are females. For ventilation I am using a normal fan, will probably get a more powerful one when I purchase my ballast. New question : Will this grow is completely for veg / budding?Galaxy 400watt digital ballasts, dual voltage

u will need someithing a wee bit taller. a 400watt light has about a 4x4 light foorprint at most. granted u can push it farther but i wouldnt recommend it. how big are u trying to get these plants? also u may need to reconsider ur grow area. ie the box. how much money are u looking to spend? are u wanting to do it right? or lower quality manage the problems as they occur and money becomes available kinda situation? also what kind of yield are u trying to achieve? soil? coco? lots of stuff to think about before starting.

manage the problems as they occur and money becomes available kinda situation <-- This. Also the box isn't bad, I'm thinking when I sex them I can change them. If it becomes a huge problem I'll have to buy something more "roomy" when the time comes. Also the soil is natural, I plan on using some 5-1-1 fish fertilizer with kelp shit in it. I'm REALLY tight right now, trying to help my mother move, and find my girlfriend and me a new spot to live. However the grow box is stationary and doesn't need to move for a month too three. The soil is a mixture of what I would said ground oak leaf mulch, clay, sand, dirt. Normal California dirt (in my opinion), with a few other "organic" things in the dirt. I really prefer just getting like 4~6 bulbs MAXIMUM for normal lamps or 1~2 larger ones. Got suggestion for that? I will have money for them within a month hopefully. If not I'm just going to send them over to my friends house for the time being.

have u ever considered getting a t5 fixture? like a nice 4 ft 8 bulb like one of these? relatively cheap and pretty effective. and u dont have to figure out how to connect and light 40 light bulbs at once. they last a while also and u can get flowering bulbs for them. altho yield will be less becuz its still florescent lighting. well worth it. im actually going to buy this same one.

I would have suggested a T-5 too, but it may be out of his budget. He prolly can get 2 105's 2700K and 2 105's 6500K for less...IMHO.
