Hi everyone.I was wondreing if cal-mag should be added first then mix nutes accordingly?
I have always added it last.
I have a merlin RO system and use 100% RO for flood and drain in hydro.
GH flora 3 part nutes, and cal-mag are all Im using in hydrofarms coco-dan croutons.
plants are 7 weeks old and stopped growing this past week? they are showing cal,mag deficiencies. slight yellowing and purple stems. I bumped the cal mag up to 6oz in my 50 gal, resivior but not much help.what ppm of cal mag would be a good start?
I read that when using coco in hydro you should PH the water to soil conditions 6.2 and not over 6.5? when I started I treated it like rockwool at PH of 5.8 to 6.0 and just read this other PH info recently so that might be my problem.
I will start over tomorrow with a RO flush with 1/2 ml per gal cal-mag and use clearex just in case of a salt problem. Is this OK to do or should I use a low dose of nutes also? This is my first time using any kind of coco.Thanks for any input.....
