Hi Folks,

I want to replace my fan, it's cheap and noisy, I can't stand anymore the noise, it's killing me!! The tent is in the attic right on top of my bedroom :wall::wall::wall::wall:

This is the fan i'm replacing: https://www.cultureindoor.eu/193-extractor-sheath-winflex-vko-100-mm-105-m3-h-ventilation.html

I will start updating the fan (it's 1 year old) and then i will spend some more time on the duct and the way to silence it even more.

My tent is fairly small: 90x50x160 so i don't need a beast and i would like to keep the budget under 100 euro.

About the fan choice, I'm totally newbie, what do you think of the below fans, which one should i go for, you notice issues with any of them?

I'm jumping between these models (which i think are the best for my budget), and i've no idea which one can be the best buy :(

They seems to be all fairly silent (<30 db)

Thanks a lot!

Yeah the box is there and reduced the noise a lot, but the fan is getting nosier every week, i think it made its time after 1 year!

Plus it is a fan of 20 euro purchased for a smaller tent, so i think i would like to get something better, but not more than 100 euro, i'm broke!

AC infinity sets starts from 150 in UK, i think it may be a bit overkill for me (other than i can't afford it now!), so i was looking for something in the middle, between my cheap 20 euro one and AC infinity which is >150.

Any of the one that i listed that looks okay to try?

I'm just afraid that in terms of DB this one is almost nosier than mine.

In terms of capacity my cheap weak fan is perfect, but it's noisy.

These Rhino fans are amazing, but lot more powerful and for this reason they are more noisy that mine current one.

DB seems to be 38, my current fan db is 37, but i'm looking for something <30 the one i posted should be all around 26db

Okay man i have tried cheap silent fans on amazon they usually do not produce negative pressure in my tent aka they suck. So i highly recommend the ac infinity inline fan. Do you have too order from amazon?

Yeah i think you are totally right, my plant are okay but no negative pressure at the moment which means the fan is no doing all his job!

When order them from USA They kill me in commissions,.

I think you convince me especially if i can pay it less that 130 but i need to find it on the European market

Sigh, now I want it!! :(

Can i ask you why the negative pressure is important? I mean I know it is, but why? Thanks again for all the help @Topshelfruns

For me negative pressure is important for 2 reasons
A i know that i have no odor leaks aka the smell of the plants wont leak out of the tent.
B you must make sure that you are replacing the c02 depleted air in your grow tent with new fresh air fast enough and when i have negative pressure i don't worry about this :)

What makes the AC Infinity design so much quieter is that its a DC brushless motor. Other companies makes them too though.

I havent tried this one yet, but I think @Airwalker16 suggested them a while back. Was just about to order one for a friends setup.

Pretty much looks like a Chinese knockoff of the AC Infinity to me, just without the nice digital controller screen.

But you dont really need that anyway (in fact, see how much the AC Infinity S4 is for you, its about $40 less for us - that is just the fan w a manual speed controller. The T4 is the one w temp/humidity controller but you dont need all that).

If you aren’t using a super long run of ducting or aren’t using a filter then a simple duct booster fan will work fine since your tent is so small.

I have a 2.5’x5’x6’ tent for veg that only uses ~300w of LED so it only needs minimal ventilation and the AC infinity RAXIAL S6 does the job fine.

nice! are these just as quiet? the T4 is overkill for a 2x2 or 2x4 so I was trying to figure out a cheaper option for my friend. This is definitely the right price!

DO NOT BUY THIS FAN i purchased the vivohome inline plastic fans and had too return them i had bought the 4inch inline fan from vivohome rated at 200cfm(no carbon filter) for my 2 x 2 x 4 grow tent and it could not produce negative pressure but when i purchased another inline fan that used more watts also rated at 200cfm it produced negative pressure....... Why would vivohome not produce negative pressure when it is rated same cfm as other fan? I also had too return the 6inch vivohome inline fan because it could not keep temps down in my 2 x 4 x 5 tent and would not produce negative pressure when i added my carbon filter but another 6 inch inline fan rated for same cfm but using more wattage did just fine...
Im talking from EXPERIANCE STAY AWAY FROM THIS INLINE FAN

my friend has a 4 x 4 grow tent with a spider farmer sf4000 using a duct booster fan too take air out(no carbon filter) and a duct booster fan at the bottom of tent bringing air in his grow did great no temp issues etc
