evening , new on here but not new to strawberry growing.

i have a new side project , its a 8.5 x 6 foot room which is 6 ft tall ( i know its not much height but its in a roof top) .

im using cool tubes x's 2 600watt hps , will i be able to get them right up close to the plants ok ?

i need to keep the plants at a max hieght as im resricted . do you think i should use 2 x's strip lights along the sides also to get the plants to go out as not to strecth them as much . also advice on topping etc at early stage would be great .

ALSO GOD MADE BAT SHIT FOR PLANTS . its the bizz :weed:

hey m8,
your distance from the plants is determined by the cfm rating of ure fans... id just try it out and see what goes on.

About keeping then shortish...... and i wunt say 6 ft is short. ther are oads of techniqques. like low stress training and my favourite, suppercropping :)

im sure your 600w could be as near as 12 inches for the very top of the plant.

cheers for the replys.

some more questions.

i need a fan for the cool tubes and carbon filter . now i have seen a 6inch accoustic fan ,

http://www.aquaculture-hydroponics.co.uk/product.aspx?categoryID=446&productID=1450

i thought of using a T piece so i could run my carbon filter on 1 side of the T piece then the extraction of cool tube thru the other then both out the other side of the fan into space outside the room , make sense ? recon this would be ok ? i forgot to bid on a 3 way fan on ebay the other day , bastard , never mind.

i will take the cool air for cool tubes from separate intake so its nice , thou for 12hrs when lights are off they will constantly be cooled but saves me buying a second fan which , of course they are expensive so saves me £££££££

and thoughts ????????.

1 has purchased acoustic ducting also . i wont my babys to sleep in siliece ish in the dark ( but obviously grow )

peace / unity / love / earlgreyuk - :)
