New plant yellow of starter leaf?

one of the first leaves that started the plant is turning yellow? Need some help understanding why hope its not root rot or over watering. need advice?

left leaf the one that first sprouts on the left hand side is turning yellow. within 2 days. light makes it look like its ok.
