New Lights a-coming!

Just placed my order with Carlo over at RapidLed, he was a great help.

Looking forward to moving on up from CFL's...

Ended up with 4x Vero 29SE D's :lol:

Anyone with the D series Vero's, can you tell me whats a good starting height off the canopy.

I run my 4 array bar @ 12-18". I use a PAR meter to try and keep the canopy above 800 umole.

i think depends what current you're running em at. im guessing you probably have them at a higher current like 1750ma or 2100ma? then they would be like 50-70w each? you could keep them pretty close to the canopy during flower. i have vero29Cs at 95W and i keep em far away during veg, 24"+ but i can get them pretty close during flower, about 18" without any bleaching or light burn.

you can also get an infrared thermometer off amazon and monitor your leaf temperatures. i keep my lights as low as i can without having my leaf temps get too high. or if i notice anything happen to the leaves i just back the lights off a bit.

Carlo is pretty awesome!

Sometimes I bug him on his work chat just to see how his day is going and if he has bought his own setup yet. (He hasn't lol)

Investing in a decent par sensor is definitly a plus.

How old are your current plants?

Haha hey may start not to like me soon, i keep coming back with more questions.

And I’m actually on the tail end of my veg cycle, i just started week nine but due to the mainlining I’m running them out a couple more weeks.

I’m going with the HLG320C1400B, They’ll be running them around 72.5W

Yeah, you might want to start pretty high and move them down a couple inches every day. I'd start at like 30" -32" and see how your strain reacts. Those lights you got are a bit (a lot) more powerful than ehat you had and you want to ease them into it over the next week. At least that's what I would do until I could get the meter and go around 600umol veg 900 for flower.

Conversely you can do it by math, but that's a bitch and a half.

with the $ of a real par meter being heaps, this could be a good cheap way of setting height
