When to mist leaves to keep pest away ? I read in a thread that this should be done just before lights come on. But I stumbled onto a thread that said this was a no no because it could cause burns ? Any comments would be awesome

nope , you spray an hour after the lights have gone off this is to allow the plants to cool down so your liquid doesnt evaporate quickly , also this means the liquid is on for the longest time and therefore more time to kill bugs off

Depends on what you're going with for the foliar.. if it's oil-based, just before lights on can/will cause burns depending on temps, lights, how close the lights are, stage of growth, and a few other variables. Would highly recommend you do it just after lights off, but that's my personal preference to save headache.

Moggggys sounds right to me.
I have T-5s in veg and can mist mine anytime without fear of burn. I worry more about getting thee lights wet.

Not actually growing yet. I am trying to get as much info. before I start anything because i dont like to fail at thangs lol. Have been reading a few different books as well as joined the site. Thanks for the quick responses. Btw could adding soap to your mist cause it to burn bc the soap would become like a clear coat?

Spotting could occur, or you may have slight leaf burn depending on the light(s), distance to the canopy, and other things.. but nowhere near as bad as anything oil-based.

If I did add the kelp could that some how cause some sort of burn or can u even get a burns from trance elements?

Any liquid applied foliar can, depending on light intensity, and angle... magnify the effects and cause a burn. Some will do this much worse than others, as I'd mentioned with the oil-based sprays.

Ok so when you foliar feed once you spray it then next time you go to mist should you use plain water to keep burns down. New to actually talking to ppl and getting info thanks for the advice and sorry if my questions are stupid or don't make sense
